- RELEASED!!! - 10 February 2021
The time has come! The game is now released into Early Access! And with this release also comes some news on the future of the game. So, as some of you know, the art is being improved, and there will be changes to some of the mechanics. But, I am glad to say that the online is also being worked on, so there's even more to look forward to! And, for a limited time, the current price will apply until I finish one of these features. But that limited time will be quite a while, so no worries on it changing any time soon. I will of course announce any price changes, and give ample time to get the game before any changes to the game are applied. As for how big of a gap in time, I am unsure. Perhaps a month or two weeks; two weeks being the least I am willing to go, and a month being the option I am leaning more towards. And finally, for those who have been following and have gotten/will get th…
- Art and Mechanics Updates! - 7 February 2021
https://i.imgur.com/eBAaKCt.png After working on a few concepts and designs, I am happy to announce a few updates for the art, mechanics that are changing due to the art, and even the maps, which is also changing because of the art. (Though, I have been wanting to change some of these mechanics already, so I am also using these art updates to help move that along) A few things to keep in mind with these updates however: - This art will take some time to add- not long, but I will need to change a bit of code to make it work with both the new designs and to make it all cohesive. - I MAY pause some of these art updates for a little bit to further look into putting online-play into the game. Since I will have to mess with the code for these updates, it seems as good a time as any to look into working in the networking code. If I do end up looking into the networking however, I am sure much…
- RELEASE DATE! Feb 10th! - 1 February 2021
It has finally come! I will be releasing this game on the 10th, coinciding with Steam's Game Festival; which I am a part of! Fun-fun. What you can expect: Once the game releases, I will be keeping a closer eye on feedback and I will be using it to improve the game more and more. So be sure to tell me all your thoughts on the game; both good and bad. Basically, a "help me help you"; because I want you to enjoy the game, and I want to improve it as much as possible. And, speaking of which, I already have a few changes in mind for some future massive updates- regarding combat, the field, the camera, and a bunch of other things; but those will come in time- which I don't have a ton of. So I do hope y'all can be patient with me. Other than that, there's not much to say; so mark those calendars for February 10th! :V
- Update 0.2.3 - 3 December 2020
UI: - Added an option for timers for turns. Once it hits 0, your turn automatically ends. - Added an option for action limits. Basically, now, you can choose whether you want players to only make a certain number of moves each turn; be it 1, 5, 10, or a number that makes this setting completely pointless. - Added an indicator card (Mover Card) that shows which tile a player is moving from, and which side. This is to help with players knowing which side and tile their card is from, as well as an addition for the next mode being added in. I may change this however since it doesn't look as nice as I would like it to. - Some of the interactions with the manual have changed to where you need to click the sections to see their information. This was done so that multiple players could click parts of the manual to show information. - Fixed some issues with controllers and activating players and…
- Update 0.2.2 - 30 November 2020
UI: - Added a new function so all players can start the game with as much gold as you want. Be it 0 or 1000; if you're willing to click that many times. - Added a new function that allows you to give players any amount of gold at the start of the turn. Again, be it 0 or 1000! - Both the starting gold and the gold per turn are great for testing and trying out different tactics without the need for gold! - Players can now choose between three speeds for faster banner (Cursor) movement! These speeds will more than likely be adjusted over time, but the reason I've decided on only three is to lock in speeds that will be used when the new mode is finally added- where if each player had a unique speed, the faster players would have an advantage, Remember to always close then restart your game to apply the updates! - Update 0.2.1 - 26 November 2020
Gameplay: - Added ranged units. - Archers can now shoot from 2 hexes away. - Catapults can now shoot from 2 hexes away. - Priests heal for 1, 1 hex away. - Bishops fully heal from 1 hex away. UI: - Added this new update area in discussions. - Added an update window to show updates in-game. - Added a link to this discussion topic from in-game. - Changed the on-boarding to be more streamlined and easier to read. - Added a quick-info toggle without having to look up the card in the techtree. - Added new "teasers" for future planned gameplay options. - Added new "teasers" for future units in the techtree. - Added a techtree "path" when a tile in the techtree is selected. - Added all the updates to the demo. Remember to always close then restart your game to apply the updates! For past and current updates, click here.
- THE DEMO IS OUT! - 29 July 2020
You are now able to play the game without having to spend a dime- try before you buy as they say. I would not want you, a potential customer, to end up purchasing something that you would not want and/or enjoy. It would just be a lose-lose for us both if that happened. So! Now, you can freely share with friends or just use this demo to try out the game yourself! And, with this DEMO release, I'll be able to get more feedback on the game without people having to wait for a key, or be given the unfortunate news that I can't keep giving them out. Transparency: A little heads-up. Since this is a demo, not all features will be available, as to be expected of a demo since, well... having the demo just be the full game wouldn't make very much sense. What You Can Expect in the Demo 2 Players Only I was a little on the fence with this one, but it is what I have decided on for now. The point of th…
- A DEMO is on the Way! - 27 July 2020
A Demo! Yes, you heard it here first! Or again if you've been in a few other places, but you know what I mean. Soon, people will be able to play the game without having to spend a dime- try before you buy as they say. I would not want you, a potential customer, to end up purchasing something that you would not want and/or enjoy. It would just be a lose-lose for us both if that happened. So! Look forward to a demo; one you can freely share with friends or just use to try out the game yourself! And, with the release of the demo, I'll be able to get more feedback on the game without having people having to wait for a key, or be given the unfortunate news that I can't keep giving them out.
