- Project Crimson Final Mix Releases on May 21! - 4 May 2021
Hey everyone! Hopeful everything's going well as hope itself seems to be creeping back into our lives. So, finally, the long awaited "Endless Mode" is coming to the game as part of what I like to call the "Final Mix" version of the game. ;) The update will be releasing on May 21, 2021 (fingers crossed), and will mark the final planned update for Project Crimson. In the update you can expect: Endless Mode - Keep going through procedurally generated obstacles until you die! See how far you can go! Leaderboards for Endless Mode. Achievements for Endless Mode. Custom skins for Endless Mode. Some small improvements that I probably forgot about! Easter Eggs? ;) By the way, alongside this update the game will also be coming to Mobile Devices. Definitely expect it on iOS (you can preorder it here!) and hopefully Android as well (which you can preorder here!). I wanna take a moment to thank all…
- Version 1.1.5 Released - 4 March 2021
Fixed a small bug related to the "Exit Game" button UI in the in-level settings menu.
- Version 1.1.4 Released - 25 February 2021
Hey everyone! I've just released a small new update (version 1.1.4) for Project Crimson. This update mainly includes a bunch of polish that I had wished I did for a while now. It's amazing how much you see in hindsight. This update includes: New sounds for stomper objects. New sounds for timed wall objects. Borders around certain UI elements for a cleaner look. Background is now dimmed when a menu is pulled up so it doesn't blend with the background. Sounds for certain UI elements. Originally, I had planned to hold these changes back until the Endless Mode update, but I see more and more people discovering the game for the first time every day and I think these updates really help make a good first impression. As for Endless Mode, it's still coming! In fact, it's almost done. Most of my time spent on the game has been on things related to it (and therefore not in this update), and I loo…
- Version 1.1.3 Released - 18 November 2020
Hey all, Quick update here. Fixed broken social media link. Esc now opens pause menu while in a level instead of exiting the game. Fixed text on a button to make it fit within the boundaries of said button. Thanks for your continued support. Love you all ːp2cubeː
- Version 1.1.2 Released - 2 November 2020
Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a happy (and safe) Halloween. I've just put out a small but important update for the game. Here's some of the stuff addressed: UI now has reactive sounds. All UI now has visual reactionary cues for when your cursor is on it. Players are always taken to the campaign/speedrun selection screen regardless of whether the mode is unlocked or not. If speedrun mode still isn't unlocked, it will appear in red. This makes its existence in the game more clear to new players. Added an info button that explains the "rules" of speedrun mode in the campaign/speedrun selection screen. Some minor bugs dealing with the speedrun notification message. All small changes, but I think it really makes the game's menu system feel a lotttt better. In any case, keep staying safe and being awesome. Stay strong, 2020 is almost over. ;) P.S. If you still haven't done so, you can follow…
- Project Crimson - Speedrun Update (1.1) - 2 October 2020
Greetings! First of all, thank you for playing my game! The response since launch has been great and way more people have played than I could have ever imagined. :) Hard to believe it's only been 6 weeks since we launched, but here we are with our first major update. I didn't plan on adding a speedrun mode, but over time the idea grew on me pretty majorly. So, I took the time (and suffered through the headache-inducing leaderboard coding) to put it in the game - and I'm really happy with how it turned out overall. Here's how it works: When you beat level 30, every time you try to access the campaign from the main menu from that point on will give you the option enter into Speedrun mode. In Speedrun mode, traditional scores aren't recorded and don't exist. Instead, you're trying to beat the almighty timer at the top of your screen. Try to beat your personal record or the global records v…
- Version 1.0.1 Released - 29 August 2020
Hey all! Small update for today. Here's the changes: Bouncing logic for corners reworked and should now be more accurate. Welcome message can now be accessed via the main menu options after you dismiss it for the first time. Clearing the game will now bring up a prompt asking if you're REALLY sure you want to do that. New splashscreen. Behind-the-scenes save file additions so the game now tracks which version number you're on. This is useful for me in case I need to change things based on what version you're on in the future. Users shouldn't notice a difference. As always, thanks for playing!
- What's next for Project Crimson? - 24 August 2020
Greetings! First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone who has played, downloaded, or even just added the game to their library. It means a ton to me to see so many people enjoying it, and I want to thank everyone who's reached out with congratulatory remarks - it means a lot more than you know. Just as an update on how the game is doing overall, we're *very* close to having the game in 1000 people's libraries. While that sounds small, I was expecting a lot, lot less. This game had 0 marketing, no budget, and is, itself, very niche. I wasnt sure if we would walk away from launch week with 50, so, needless to say, I'm really pleased with the game's performance so far. Now, if you've read the welcome message that you see when you boot the game for the first time, you'll know that I'm planning to add an endless mode into the game, and I wanted to talk about that for a minute. As you…
