  This patch restores the d3d8.dll file to the game's install directory. If you do not see d3d8.dll in your install folder after downloading this update, please ensure you whitelist this file as an exception in your antivirus software.

• Patch 1.05 - 3 September 2021

  Today we’ve released patch 1.05 for BloodRayne: Terminal Cut. In this update: Button prompts have been updated to use XInput-style controller button icons in place of the original generic PC text prompts. Two textures have been restored to how they originally appeared in the console release of BloodRayne. An issue where fog, reflections, and other effects could be prevented from rendering near the left edge of the screen at certain draw distances has been fixed.

  BloodRayne fans rejoice! Ziggurat is thrilled to announce that we have a new update to both Terminal Cut editions of BloodRayne. By popular demand, both games now use XInput style button prompts in game while playing with a gamepad, replacing the original generic text button prompts.   Today we’ve released patch 1.04 for BloodRayne: Terminal Cut. In this update: Textures on mutates and other models have been restored to how they originally appeared in the console release of BloodRayne. Japanese is now included as a playable language with fully voiced audio. Improvements have been made to the rendering of reflections on water. Miscellaneous bug fixes have been made. Steam Trading Cards have also been added to the game.

  We've released patch 1.03 for BloodRayne: Terminal Cut, which improves the playback of pre-rendered cutscenes, cinematics, and intro logos. We have more fixes and updates for both Terminal Cut games in the works based on the feedback we’ve received, so stay tuned for further updates!

• BloodRayne 1 and 2 remasters heading to PC later this month - 3 November 2020

  If you've been excitedly anticipating the previously revealed remasters of developer Terminal Reality's so-so (but still, seemingly, fondly remembered) BloodRayne series, you're in luck; enhanced editions of BloodRayne 1 and 2 will be making their way to PC on 20th November. The original BloodRayne launched back in 2002, introducing the world to half-vampire (and clothing deficient) femme fatale Rayne, as she embarked on a campy, globe-trotting adventure - very much in the third-person shooter mould - to obliterate supernatural forces. And also nazis. A similarly styled sequel followed in 2004, and the series was revived in 2011, albeit this time as a side-scrolling action platformer, known as BloodRayne Betrayal.
