  The Winter Wastelands 1.1.3 Update came out on February 22, 2022, and the game has been free (no longer $4.99) since February 27, 2022. • Winter Wastelands FREE-TO-PLAY after this month! - 19 February 2022

  Starting on one of the last days at the end of this month, Winter Wastelands will no longer be available for purchase on Steam and will instead become Free-To-Play. However, the soundtrack will remain up as a way that people can still buy it to support me (the solo developer behind Winter Wastelands) and the game itself. There are several reasons as to why this is happening, some personal and some business-oriented, but I will try my best to explain some important notes. 1. • Winter Wastelands Soundtrack Now Available for purchase! - 16 August 2021

  The Winter Wastelands Original Soundtrack from solo developer Michael Haapasaari is now available for purchase on Steam for $2.99! The soundtrack includes 23 original songs and short tunes composed for the game.

• 1.1 Update Adds Easy Mode - 22 May 2021

  The Winter Wastelands 1.1 Update adds an easy mode to the game. Easy mode puts a smaller emphasis on combat and exploration in order for more people to play the game in its entirety. However, there will still be the normal mode in order for players to play the game how it was initially released. Enjoy!
