• Ovrlay Update Released - 20 November 2021

  After confirming in beta, the fix for Ovrlay has been released to all users. There is now a quick one-time setup with instructions that will launch when you start Ovrlay. As a reminder, you can set Ovrlay to automatically start when you run SteamVR by going to SteamVR > Settings > Startup / Shutdown > Choose Startup Overlay Apps. Thank you for all of your patience! • Ovrlay Beta Ready for Testing - 14 November 2021

  A fix for the Discord changes has been released on the beta branch of Ovrlay. You can test it out by right-clicking Ovrlay in your Library -> Properties -> Betas and pick "beta" Ovrlay now requires a short setup where you create a Discord "App" and enter its information into the setup screen. This is very similar to how the StreamDeck-Discord project handles the same issue. Let me know how it works either in this thread or at my email [email protected]. Thank you all for your patience!

• Ovrlay fix is in the works - 1 November 2021

  Hello friends! Unfortunately a Discord update broke Ovrlay's functionality. A workaround has been prototyped -- it is similar to the workaround used by StreamDeck-Discord. I hope to have this fix released in the next 1-2 weeks. Sorry for the long delay!

• First Ovrlay Update! - 27 March 2021

  Ovrlay's first update was just released, fixing stability issues that occurred when either 1) Discord was not running when Ovrlay started, or 2) Discord was shut down while Ovrlay was running. You should still make sure your VR headset is plugged in before starting Ovrlay. The easiest way to force a Steam update is to just exit Steam fully and restart it.
