Hey guys! We've been working on smoothing out multiplayer experience, adding skills, a better interface for match making and now a new game mode! A classic Capture the Flag is being tested, our first team-based multiplayer game mode, soon we'll be testing new team-based game modes as well with special buildings that you cannot see inside unless you are in the building!

  • Character Customization Update - 19 April 2021

Hello everyone. We've been working on a few features that will help steer the game towards our long-term goal. We're excited to announce the beginning of the integration with Steam's Inventory Service. Through gameplay you can obtain cosmetic items which will show in your Steam Inventory. These items can be traded or sold as well! Currently we have hats, shirts, pants and bullet trails available. We are also considering the possibility of including Workshop integration to allow players to create their own styles, but that's still a while away. Furthermore, we have begun to develop skills, they are currently divided into two categories: quick skills, which are intended to be used to create an immediate impact and lasting skills, which should grant some benefit or effect over a longer period of time. You can pick one of each before every run and multiplayer session for now, but eventually…

  • Minor update - 27 March 2021

Fix some minor bugs and add interpolation to character - player characters now move more smoothly!

  • Minor update - 16 March 2021

    - Added "Showdown" UI to challenge bosses you have faced before, new random bosses or even a boss of any name you wish - Reduced "challenge" card in main screen (now only "Most Wanted" is visible) - Added "challenge" card at the end screen of challenge mode

  • Minor update - 14 March 2021

Bugfix: gatling's gun was jammed! Not anymore, be careful ;) Also would like to anticipate that we're working on improving boss AI and adding personality traits so that they will behave slightly differently one from another.

  • Update (v 0.12.7) - 12 March 2021

    - Added "reloading" mechanic. Players now have 6 bullets per round, after which the character will automatically reload. At any time, however, players may reload (R on keyboard, RB/R1 on controllers). Enemies also have limited bullets per round, this will be most noticeable on the behavior of Bandits. This rule also applies to multiplayer mode. - Fixed issue with controllers not aiming. - Added controller icons to tutorial screens. - Added "controls" screen to "Settings" menu. Currently still not able to change the keymapping though, this is still in progress.

  • More multiplayer fixes - 4 March 2021

Players can now stomp and use skills in multiplayer. Currently "bullet time" is disabled, have to figure out how (if ever) it will work in multiplayer... Furthermore bullets now should be more accurate between different players, reducing "false positive" kills. Added skill icons to player status bar, shows if the skill is ready, still working on visuals (we know, tooltip is way too small to understand which button you should press.) FYI: "left shift" activates "long skill" (currently only Bullet Time) and "Q" or "right mouse button" activates "quick skill" (currently only Deflection Blast). Also we noticed that controllers aren't working anymore, we're working on getting that fixed.

  • Multiplayer fix - 2 March 2021

Fixed some stability issues in multiplayer. Session setup should be slightly faster and less buggy. Player management also has been rewritten in order to eliminate some bugs.

  • Challenge comes to demo - 9 February 2021

Howdy fellow bullet slingers! We're pleased to announce that we have enabled the Challenge mode for the demo. Every week a new level is generated and players compete for the top spot on the scoreboard! Have fun and good luck!

  • Bug fixes - 24 January 2021

Fixed game not restarting correctly after dying and player information HUD not properly displaying player's data.

  • Bullets Are Fatal! Dev talks about some of the game features - 21 January 2021

Bullets Are Fatal! game developer showcases some of the features that aren't included in the demo version and talks about some of the upcoming features of the game.

  • Bullets Are Fatal! Dev tries to beat the demo content - 21 January 2021

Game developer DamnPete will attempt to beat the content available in the playable demo for the Steam Game Festival. Bullets Are Fatal! is intentionally a very challenging game, will he be able to beat the boss in less than one hour?

  • Bossy Boys - 31 October 2020

So you thought things were settling down? There's a new boss in the house. In single-player mode you now must fight a fierce foe and claim your stakes against the bandit boss. Change List: New player status UI. Updated enemy AI - they now attempt to avoid bullets and players. Added a world environment. New single-player boss-fight level. Added localization, currently english & portuguese brazil -- olá amigos! :) Bandit cooldown fixed. Added badge item (basically a 2nd hp). Player now bounces when stomping. • Sidekicks!! - 25 October 2020

I had a dream I was a vigilant sidekick... And now you can be one too. Join a buddy and help him fight crime in the streets together. We have implemented the first iteration of local co-op with the intention of also allowing players to play through Remote Play Together! You (or your friend if using Remote Play Together) must have a controller. One player can play on the keyboard while the other plays on the controller. Pressing F2 will make "P2" use keyboard, likewise pressing "select" (PS) or "back" (Xbox) button on the controller should tell the game P2 will be using that controller. Change List Added local co-op for "single player" mode. Added projection shadow to help show where player will land. Bandit now looks where he's going. Added further graphic options to enable/disable post-processing effects. New main menu UI. All new animated intro sequence. Effects are now pooled in orde…

  • Little things - 21 October 2020

Howdy, partners! In this minor update we bring a new settings screen which is categorized. Also we have temporarily included toggles to allow disabling rendering effects to better gauge potential performance killers on the fly. • Particularly Purty - 16 October 2020

Howdy, partners! In this peculiar update we have proposed new props and particularly overhauled the particle effects. We reckon things should look a tad more shinier. We are preparing to allow players to equip custom effects for different in-game actions too. So prepare to look particularly purty! Change List Added new skill: slam. When falling very fast you can hold your down button to slam into the ground and cause stun to nearby enemies. New death effect. Added new ricochets. New bullet animation and sound. Added footsteps.
