  Happy New Year, everyone. Some good news to share with you all: Jumpala now has a release date! You'll be able to download the full version of the game on January 19th, 2021! Wishlist now so that you can get it as soon as it's released. I'm also excited to announce that Jumpala has a publisher! The awesome folks over at Versus Evil (The Banner Saga, Pillars of Eternity, Cardpocalypse) have jumped on board to help make Jumpala a success. We're nearing the finish line! • v0.6 - New Maps, Private Lobbies, Solo Rankings, and more - 23 November 2020

  It's time for another Jumpala update! This is a pretty big one, and probably one of the last as Jumpala gets closer to its release. Here's what's new: Solo Rankings You can now see how well you did in Solo Mode! Once you beat all your opponents, stay tuned after the credits to get your ranking. The full version of the game will record your best stats for each difficulty. Three New Maps Baron Industries - Be careful, there are a lot of dangerous lasers in this one. Crystal Cavern - Watch out for falling icicles! Arata City - This stage is narrower and a little higher than the others. Introducing Jenny These stages can be a bit tougher than other stages like Proving Grounds or Twilight Canyon. One bit of feedback I've received is that some of the harder stages can be overwhelming and a little discouraging for new players (looking at you, Onclave Labs).   It's time for a new character: Introducing Ribbon! Ribbon's normal special will steal points from other players on hit. (Cid mains hate her!) Her ultimate grants her invisibility for a short time. While invisible, she'll be invulnerable to all damage and steal double the points! Though Ribbon is not playable in the Tryouts edition of Jumpala, you can still face off against her in Solo mode.   Balance Changes: Reduced Lola's end lag when missing by ~14% Increased Lola's hit window by 25% Lola used to be a really powerful character. Too powerful. Her special meter cost 4 points to build and had little end lag, meaning you could spam attacks and in the hopes that one would lag. In order to calm her down a little, her SP cost was bumped to 5 and she'd be unable to act for VERY long time if she missed an attack. The timing window for her attack was also shortened, making it easier to miss. Now that more people are playing, though, it's clear that the combination of these changes have made it a struggle to play Lola effectively and consistently. Reducing the severity of her previous nerfs should allow her to keep up with the rest of the cast.   Hope you all have been enjoying Jumpala: Tryouts Edition! I've been blown away by the positive reaction its received. The primary feedback that I've received is that the CPUs are just too dang tough, even on Easy difficulty. It's not my intention to demoralize players straight out of the gate, so both the Easy and Normal AI difficulties have been reduced. Hard mode hasn't been changed, though, so try it out if you're looking for a challenge. By the way, if you're looking for REAL players to play against, join our Discord!

  Jumpala: Tryouts Edition is now available on Steam! Jumpala is a competitive high-stakes puzzle battler that's all about sabotage, superpowers, and stage control. Jump on platforms to claim them and collect points when they're destroyed. Use your character's unique abilities to get an edge in battle. Make sure you don't fall off the stage! The Tryouts Edition lets you play as the initial four characters and stages in 1v1 mode. Both online and local multiplayer are supported. Good luck and have fun!
