- Speedrun Fixes - 4 January 2022
Hello Leg Lovers! I hope you all had a nice time the past weeks, I think I managed to relax for a few hours over the holidays which is nice. This is a small update where I fix some bugs that mostly speedrunners have found. Bugs fixed: Trigger sizes updated in a level (Stretching Your Legs) where speedrunners would get stuck. Hold select button and pause game will freeze the game (only option is to go back to menu). Hello cube lovers! All games go through unique journeys on the road to release and I thought it would be fun to share some things that happened during the development of Hoplegs. The first line of code was written while I was livestreaming and I only had a dumb idea in my head about a box that jumped around. I tried something and after a while I ended up with a sequence that looked fun so I grabbed a gif of that and posted it on Twitter before I went to bed. The morning after I noticed it had become my biggest tweet and it just kept growing throughout the next two days. So I decided to keep playing with this idea while I was live streaming. The two weeks after the first tweet I just kept adding small ideas and adjusting the physics until it felt right. - Hoplegs Devlog 10: Co-Op Progress - 7 June 2021
Hello Leg Fans! I apologize for the radio silence the past month. To keep it short I moved to a new apartment and my company joined forces with Aurora Punks. Along with life in general I’ve been pretty busy but I’ve progressed a lot with the Co-Op and Versus updates. Right now I’m in a phase where I test with my friends and go back to fix things before jumping back in with them for another round. It’s fun to play and I feel that I’m in a good flow now so I’m going to just ride this wave and when things calm down I hope to be in a state where I can wrap up the Co-Op update and release it. But I don’t want to put myself in a position where I’m rushing out something during the summer and have to spend the hot summer days fixing bugs! Hey Leg Lovers! First off, thank you all for participating in the first Hoplegs Community Event! It was amazing to see the levels that you created and how supportive you were of each others creations! The level with the most upvotes is now featured in the main menu which means that the next event starts right now. Play the level and try to get as high up on the leaderboard as possible! Who knows... there might be a reward for some fast players! In other updates, Co-Op is progressing well. I've had some early tests the past week which has been very valuable and I'll make sure to update you more in the coming weeks. -Kevin

Dear leg enthusiasts! I wanted to focus on some main menu issues the community found and then also some level editor quality of life updates. Especially since the first community event is still active for one more week where you're going to learn how to create levels. Here's a list of all things that's been fixed or updated. Patch Notes Editor objects can be deleted with the delete key. Moving the NPC in the level editor will now look normal.. Renaming your level in-game support is added to the level editor. Tutorial window in level editor now saves it's state between sessions. Jetpack is added to the level editor. Other minor editor fixes. Fixed a small camera issue in Magic Forest. Quest Item (fragile box) physics are improved. Rotation strength value now adds "default" to avoid confusion. Addressed a chinese font issue Bird sounds are now adjusted based on audio settings. Hey Leg Fans! During the weekend I've been watching many streamers play Hoplegs and also listening to peoples thoughts! I'm so happy that you like to play Hoplegs, even though some of you need breaks from time to time. I totally understand! There have been some smaller patches during the weekend and I wanted to summarize some things that have been fixed. Fixes during the weekend Chicken hair could be both bought and found in a level, can now only be found (as intended) Pressing left stick could toggle a debug text Fly On The Wall (level) - Adjusted the layout a little to help unfortunate falls and moved the checkpoint Ice Climber (level) - Moved a small ground piece that would stop players from moving too close to a wall. The day is finally here.. Well it was yesterday! I just woke up and I’ve been watching people play the game for a while. Hoplegs is now available in Early Access and I want to thank you all for your support! This is a big milestone, there is still work to be done with new modes that I plan to add. If you’re looking into playing the single player experience then the story mode and the long & difficult level is there for you! Next week the first event will start. We’re going to make levels in the editor. I will create videos that will go over how to make one if you need help. I wanted to make this short. - Hoplegs Devlog 9: NPCs and Forests - 10 April 2021
This is the final update… before the game comes out. I can’t believe that the day is almost here. I know that it’s not over once the game is out since it will be in Early Access and I’ve got plans. But it’s a big milestone, let’s not forget that! I’ll just jump right into what I’ve done lately, a lot of fine tuning so I’m sticking to the bigger updates. NPC + Quest System I wanted to make an attempt to make a fetch quest, usually they aren’t that fun but when you’re dragging physics objects they become more fun! Things are getting close to the Early Access release, no date announcement yet though. Game is progressing forward really well and I think that the story levels are finished, if not then it’s only some small touches on it! If you haven’t already then go ahead and wishlist! You know it helps a lot with the Steam algorithm. HOPLEGS STORE PAGE Castle Decorations Art has always been what’s most difficult for me, but I doubled down on the castle decorations in order to feel satisfied.
