- A few important clarifications about Rhombico - 8 November 2025
This past week, I’ve received so many kind words, personal messages, and stories from people who have played our games. I can’t thank you enough for the warmth and all the words of support! And now, a few important clarifications to answer some of the questions that have been popping up: Rhombico Games is not closing completely, but we’re winding down operations significantly. This means no new projects are in development, and our activity will be much less from now on. However, the games we have released will remain available. Nothing is being taken down. You can continue to buy and play them on Steam and other stores as usual. Support will continue on a limited basis. If you need help, please use the contact form on our website. That’s the only channel we’ll be monitoring going forward. Unfortunately, we won’t have the capacity to respond on Steam forums, social media, or other platfo…
- Thank you for playing! - 31 October 2025
Hello everyone, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to begin winding down Rhombico Games. It’s a bittersweet moment, for sure. I am, at the same time, filled with pride for everything we’ve built, gratitude for everyone who’s been part of the journey, and some sadness for what’s coming to an end. Sometimes, things simply don't work out as we expected, despite putting all of our effort in them. We had a good run, though! As part of this transition, the development of our upcoming game, “Break, Enter, Repeat”, will be put on hold indefinitely. It’s a project I deeply care about and believe in. And I still hope that, in some form, its vision and spirit may find a way forward someday. As for the other games (Winds Of Trade, Automachef, Power to the People, Consumption Line), they sadly won't receive any more content or feature updates. I will try my best, though, to address critic…
- Game Updated to Latest Unity Security Patch - 8 October 2025
Hey everyone! We just pushed an update to address a security issue recently disclosed by Unity. This isn't affecting just our game. It affects all games built with Unity (2017.1 and onward). As of now, there is no evidence that this vulnerability has ever been exploited. Even so, we're not taking risks. Please update the game as soon as you can. The patch is live, and installing it now is our best move, even if the issue hasn't impacted anything yet. Now, go back to work and keep the lights on! You can find all the technical details on Unity's website: https://unity.com/security/sept-2025-01

We've just released a small update for Power to the People. This new version of the game has the following changes: Added new upgrade option for Basic Substation, which reduces its NIMBY radius and also provides a small efficiency boost. A fully upgraded Basic Substation is now a great alternative to the more expensive Advanced Substation, having a 65 MW capacity and a base efficiency of 95%. - v1.2.2 now available! - 13 September 2022
Once again we are releasing a small update with a few bug fixes. Our wonderful community on Discord has been great at reporting bugs and we're happy to say that some of those concerns have been addressed. Here's the change log for this small patch: Fixed bug that caused the "substation overloaded" warning icon to be incorrectly displayed for a while after upgrading an overloaded substation. Fixed bug that caused power plants and substations to get the "turn on/off automatically" toggle mistakenly activated against the player's will if setting the timer for midnight (0:00). "Power plant / substation / energy storage stats" window now remembers what was the last timeframe that was selected (1, 2 or 7 days) so players don't have to select it again (it used to default to 1 day every time it was opened).
- v1.2.1 now available! - 2 September 2022
Great news! We have just released a new update for Power to the People. Here's the change log: New content Added decorative images to all random world event types. New feature that allows players to randomize level modifiers when setting up a sandbox mode game. Left-handed players rejoice! Now we allow players to remap controls to the arrow keys (for camera movement for example) even though they are also used to navigate the UI. Fixes Fixed bug that caused the power line explosion visual effect to play again if placing a new power line next to one that had already failed in the past. Fixed bug that could cause the game to become unresponsive if deactivating the power line placement tool while the popup warning of a high voltage / low voltage conflict is being displayed. Fixed bug that caused the game to crash if loading a saved game that contained a broken underground power line. Fixed…

You can find all the details here: New Content New feature that allows players to place low voltage power lines underground. It must be unlocked through the Influence Points tree with 30 IP (unlocked at the same time as cryogenic air technology and concentrated solar power). New tutorial that explains how to use underground power lines (the "Underground Tutorial"). New feature that allows players to bind specific city buildings to a specific substation, accessible from the Substation Settings window. Once activated, the selected buildings will try to source their energy from that substation in particular as a first option. If unable, they will resort to the standard behavior (closest substations first). This gives players a l…

But let's get down to the juicy details... What can you expect in the new update? Underground power lines Without a doubt, the star of the show will be the new underground power lines. Starting in version v1.2 you'll be able to place low voltage power lines underground, allowing for new types of power grid designs and overall increasing the capacity of your system! We still need to take care of gameplay balance, some visual tweaks and iron out some bugs, but most of this feature is already…
- Patch v1.1.0.1 - 14 June 2022

We had accidentally misconfigured a texture file, which could cause weird yellow lines to appear all over the map, as seen in the following screenshot. It's now fixed, though! We're still working on making the game better and we're listening to all of your valuable feedback. Don't forget to join our Discord if you want to let us know your thoughts and ideas by clicking here. Enjoy!
