• Big overhaul, animated cursors and more! - 6 March 2025

  Dear Players, After months of work, the new update to BeetleQuest is ready! In the new update you can find: * Animated cursors! Now, every cursor has a small animation. * Text arrows. The end of the a text is now market with an arrow, so that you know you can safely click to the next text. * A redesing of how texts appear on the screen. Every text has been updated, both in English and in Dutch! * Small bug fixes and text corrections. We are very happy with the new update, and we hope to improve BeetleQuest in the future even more! • BeetleQuest 2 is coming soon! - 25 September 2024

  Greetings and Salutations, Our new game, BeetleQuest 2 is coming soon! We will be participating in the upcoming Steam Next festival, and hope to give players a nice and humorous adventure, starring our three beetlefriends! BeetleQuest has several improvements in terms of gameplay and storytelling, and we are planning to make a big update for BeetleQuest 1 once BeetleQuest has been released. The update for BeetleQuest 1 will have the same improvements as BeetleQuest 2, and will feature an overhaul of several systems. We cannot wait to show you the next adventure of our three beetlefriends, which will take them to sunny meadows, snowy mountains, and a gloomy castle! • Remake of BeetleQuest is done! - 25 September 2023

  Greetings and salutations, We have been hard at work remaking our game BeetleQuest, and we are finally done! The game has been completely remade, with new animations, backgrounds, voice-acting, stories and more. We hope to bring you a very much improved experience, both in terms of gameplay and visuals. New story elements have been added as well! From here on, we shall continue working on our game BeetleQuest II, we we hope to be able to finish somewhere next year! Best regards, Fabian

• BeetleQuest 2023 will be a free update! - 24 July 2023

  After speaking with Steam and some deliberations, we have decided to make BeetleQuest 2023 a free update for the existing game BeetleQuest. We initially decided to make a new game page for BeetleQuest 2023, as it is a complete remake. Every background and animation has been redone, and many things have been added, like new story content and voice-acting. But after some deliberations, we have decided to make it a free update for our game BeetleQuest. The update will be coming in the near future, and it will come with a slight increase in price as well. But it will be totally free for the current owners of BeetleQuest! We are quite excited about the results of our efforts, and we hope to bring you much point & click goodness, and lots of beetles!

• BeetleQuest to be removed from sales. - 9 May 2023

  We would like to remove BeetleQuest from sales, as a remake of our game is coming, with many new features, updated graphics, and much more!

• Resolution increased, new images, many fixes! - 10 December 2020

  Our new update is now complete. We have increased the resolution to 1920 by 1200, and created a new backdrop for each background and the main menu. New cursor images have been added, and many bugs fixed. More updates to come!

  New skip button intro screen and location border cursor added.

• Small improvements & bug fix - 21 October 2020

  A 'skip' button has been added to the starting, scrolling image. You can now open and close your inventory using the mouse wheel. The flower duplication bug has been fixed, we are still looking if it is engine related.
