I originally made Invisible Wings: Chapter One as part of my graduation at my university. After graduating and finishing the project, I realized that I didn't have the funds and technical skills to create the full game at that point. While I'm grateful for the very talented folks who helped me realizing the visual novel, they are not a core part of Audune, which always just has been me making games and other creative things, mostly in my free time despite my desire to be able to do this full time. I know this is going to disappoint a lot of the fans of the game, but I want to formally announce that development on a full version of Invisible Wings has been postponed indefinitely. - Patch released to fix Unity security vulnerability - 5 October 2025
Due to an identified security vulnerability that affects games built with Unity from 207 onwards (CVE-2025-59489), we have released an update for Invisible Wings: Chapter One that fixes the vulnerability. So far there has been no reported misuse of the vulnerability, but Unity is treating the matter with urgency and developers are encouraged to patch their releases as soon as possible. We strongly recommend you to download the latest update of the game to stay up to date and protected.

- Patch 1.5 released - 6 November 2023
Today the fifth patch of Invisible Wings: Chapter One has been released, which adds an Italian translation to the game! Patch notes Content updates: Added Italian translation made by Alessia Menghi and Martina Matassoni. The input button prompts are now colored to have a better visibility. Technical updates: Added a save indicator in the bottom right of the screen, so you can see when the progress is being saved and where your checkpoint will be when you continue the game at a later moment. Fixed a few bugs regarding the input button prompts, so that they always appear on top of all of the other graphics. Fixed a bug in the localization system that didn't render @ signs properly.
- Patch 1.4 released - 3 May 2023
Today the fourth patch of Invisible Wings: Chapter One has been released, which adds better visual support for controllers! Patch notes Added input button prompts when playing the visual novel with a controller, and updated the manual to use the prompts as well instead of plain text. Fixed a bug regarding moving the cursor with a controller at other screen resolutions than 1920x1080, which prevented an area of the screen to be reached. Fixed some minor bugs in the visual system that could affect rendering performance.

This release date is a bit later than initially anticipated (at the end of 2022), which has the simple reason of having a deadline for another amazing project I'm working on in December and allowing myself to avoid crunch time for two projects. I hope that despite all the delays you're still looking forward to get your hands on this improved version of the game! The biggest update in patch 1.3 will be the addition and revision of background music in the scenes. Hello lovely fairies, Just wanted to let you know that progress on the definitive patch of the Invisible Wings demo is being made, and it's expected to be released in Q4 of 2022, along with the complete soundtrack. I've also decided to add a nice subtitle to the demo version when it's updated, in order to not confuse people expecting a full version and then go complaining in the Steam reviews. Stay tuned for more updates! From today on I have also temporarily removed Audune's Patreon and Ko-Fi pages. The reason for this is that the pre-production of Invisible Wings is put on hold for now, until I have more resources available to make it the game it deserves to be. - Patch 1.2 released with support for fan translations - 6 May 2021
Today the second patch of Invisible Wings has been released, which adds support for fan translations to the game! Patch notes Fixed some minor translation mistakes in the Dutch localization. Updated the localization system to read locale files from a folder instead of a decicated settings file. Removed support for this settings file and migrated the settings to the Unity editor. Create your own translations This patchs adds the option to add your own fan translation to the game! We have set up a GitHub repository to guide you through the process, which comes down to creating your own YAML file with the translation and adding it to the game installation directory. A throwback is that there is currently only support for the Latin font used in the game, but if needed, we can add CJK font support as well in the future.
- Patch 1.1 released - 22 April 2021
Today the first patch of Invisible Wings has been released! Patch notes Simplified the handling of screen resolutions by leaving out the refresh rate of the monitor. This hopefully fixes a bug that the correct resolution isn't selected when the option menu is opened. Updated FMOD version to 2.2.0, which includes the option to store the audio banks in a subfolder of Unity StreamingAssets.

As part of the Steam Game Festival, Audune Games is thrilled to announce this demo livestream, where Danae Dekker (creative lead) and Katherine Tole (voice of Aranea) will lead you through an early demo of Invisible Wings! We're also having a Q&A during the livestream where you can ask anything about the game, world or characters! Invisible Wings is a narrative adventure game about Dawn, a young woman of faerie descent, and her quest for answers to her own identity and self-acceptance. During the livestream we'll give an in-depth overview of the vertical silce of the story that is contained in the demo, as well as commentary on how this project came to be.
