Here's what's new: - Keyboard and mouse are now fully supported. - Gamepad rebinding is now supported. - Fixed an issue where the game would not work properly in Offline mode. - Fixed an issue where the following achievements did not unlock properly: Dial M for Massacre, Gym Rat, Dump Donator and No More Hero. - Fixed an issue where the game crashed at the ranking screen after a battle with Holly Summers. - Fixed minor bugs. As we mentioned on the Community Forums, we brought post-launch maintenance of this version of the game in-house in order to fix achievements, implement keyboard and mouse support, and fix other issues. Sometimes, my friends, the Internet pulls something out of the ether that truly stumps even the most knowledgeable and informed among us. Case in point: today’s rumblings that Grasshopper Manufacture, the devs behind the No More Heroes series, are working on a AAA game in the Aliens universe. This caught Grasshopper Manufacture's founder and CEO Goichi Suda, aka Suda51, so much by surprise that he wordlessly tweeted his utter bemusement at the rumour. No More Heroes 4 could happen, though series creator Suda51 says that fans would have to be really loud about it to get one. While No More Heroes 3 was meant to be the last entry in the series, Suda51 hasn't necessarily ruled out another game somewhere down the road, though it sounds like it would be quite a long road if it ever did happen. The director recently spoke with GNN about the most recent game, asking if it's possible we'll see Travis Touchdown once more. "Yes, that’s right, Heroes No More 3 is Travis’ last battle,” Suda said (translations via VGC ). "Nobody could say what’s going to happen 10 years from now, and I can’t say either. - No More Heroes developers Grasshopper bought by NetEase - 25 October 2021
Chinese publishers NetEase have bought Grasshopper Manufacture, the Japanese studio behind stylish, swaggering games including No More Heroes , The Silver Case , and Killer7 . While NetEase have roots in mobile games, they have been investing in fancier things. Grasshopper say that with NetEase's cash, they plan to release "three even higher-quality 'Grasshopper Manufacture Games'" over the next decade. Read more

Eh, I'm not convinced by this HD remaster of hack-and-slasher No More Heroes . This is as barebones a port as you can get, really. And even if you can get past that, I'm not sure the game holds up 14 years later, on a new platform and with a new control scheme. Unless you're powered entirely by nostalgia, I'd say it's a middling time. Read more

At last there's no more barriers (aside from owning a gamepad) to trying out aughties cult classic No More Heroes . The irreverent beat 'em up from 2008 and its sequel No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle have broken onto PC today. The world's 11th best assassin Travis Touchdown has arrived with an HD upgrade for slashing up the competition, riding motorbikes, and playing with cats. No More Heroes was an almost instant cult-classic when it was released for Wii back in 2008. That had less to do with it being an alright hack-and-slasher in which you fight assassins with a "beam katana", and more to do with its unusual sense of humour, otaku protagonist, and the fact you saved your progress by doing a poo.
