  • Patch Notes for October 3rd, 2025 - 4 October 2025

Hiya! The latest patch addresses a vulnerability discovered in the Unity game engine, affecting all Unity games for Windows, MacOS and Android. It's important to note that there have been no known exploits of this vulnerability, and the exploit was discovered and reported by third-party researchers. Still, Unity is recommending all developers patch their games to be safe. According to Unity:Applications that were built using affected versions of the Unity Editor are susceptible to an unsafe file loading and local file inclusion attack depending on the operating system, which could enable local code execution or information disclosure at the privilege level of the vulnerable application. There is no evidence of any exploitation of the vulnerability nor has there been any impact on users or customers. For more information:https://unity.com/security/sept-2025-01 That's all for now, happy ad…

  • Farewell North is OUT NOW! - 16 August 2024

Farewell North is OUT NOW! For the past four years I've spent every single day working on this game; a deeply personal, atmospheric and emotional adventure about a woman and her dog saying farewell to the place they grew up. I'm so proud of what the team and I have created, and I'm absolutely thrilled to say that it's out now! The early press reviews have been so heartwarming, but it's your opinion that matters most, and I cannot wait to hear what you think. So, without further ado, I hope you'll join Chesley and Cailey on their adventures through the Scottish isles, and restore colour to their world! I have one more favour to ask of you though: once you've had a chance to play, please take a moment to leave a review on Steam. Believe it or not, reviews are the best thing you can do to increase the chances that I'll get to do this all over again, and continue to make games. Thank you fo…

  • Farewell North Release Update - 31 July 2024

Hey folks! I know you've been eagerly awaiting the release of Farewell North and, believe me, so have I! It still feels surreal that this journey is so close to coming to an end and I can't wait to get it out there for you. I do have some slightly bad news to share today, but don't worry, you will get to chase after sticks and herd some coos as our good boy Chesley very soon! Farewell North will now release on August 16th As you may know, Steam is a super competitive market for indies. It's extremely hard to get visibility even on normal days, and I recently learned several other great indie games will all be releasing on the same day that I initially picked out for Farewell North. I've been pouring my heart and soul into this game for years now, and in hopes of giving it the best chance of finding its audience, I have decided to delay the release for only 1 day to August 16th. I hope y…

  • Release Date Announcement Trailer! - 21 March 2024

Heya folks! It's been quite an adventure developing Farewell North these last four years. We're not quite at the finish line just yet, but I am thrilled to announce that Farewell North now has a release date - August 15, 2024! With the release date announcement comes a brand new trailer with never before seen footage, and a few other big announcements as well - make sure you watch through to the end ;) I'm very delighted that with this trailer we're finally able to share the theme song for Farewell North, "My Heart's in the Highlands". Originally written by Robert Burns in 1789, "My Heart's in the Highlands" is the poem from which Farewell North takes its name. Our composer, John Konsolakis, put together a modern rendition just for Farewell North featuring the voice of celebrated Scottish folk singer, Siobhan Miller. This song isn't just for the trailer though! Together with John and Si…
