Removed 'monthly' leaderboard and increased the global complete % leaderboard to 10 people. Progress now can go up to 200% if you complete everything at double speed! In-game timer for speedrunning is active (turn 'story mode' to OFF in options to enable in-game timer). !!! Happy Squingling !!! And please leave a review if you enjoy Squingle.
- Easier onboarding update - 26 May 2022
New start screen (grab orb to start rather than squeeze both triggers) New 'follow me' label on guide when die 3 times. Small fixes.
- Speedrun In-Game Timer Update! - 3 March 2022
Having asked the speed run community what features might help them, the biggest request is for an 'in-game-clock'. This sets the standard by not relying on external timing equipment to time your run, making it less friction to record a speed run. To use the Speed Run Timer: 1) Turn 'story mode' to 'OFF' in the options. This stops the main character appearing every ten levels (which would just waste time!). 2) After every 'Epoch' (group of 20 levels) - as long as you started at level 1 - the timer will appear and show your total time for that epoch. 3) Assuming you have completed all the levels without going back to the level-select screen, or retried any levels, then your time for the whole game also gets presented at the credits at the end, as well as your scores (how many lizards and petals you collected). Unlike the normal level times, the speed run timer is not affected by hitting t…
- For Valve Index and Knuckles users - 24 December 2021
Valve Index/Knuckles hardware users have reported that the left controller won't interact in-game. I have identified the issue and will work on a fix once back at work :) In the meantime, you can roll back your version of Squingle to a previous version that has support for both Index Knuckles controllers, which I've added to a beta channel. To access it, in Steam, go to your library, right-click on Squingle, select "Properties..." and then "BETAS". From there, use the drop-down menu to select "Beta2 - temporary roll-back for Index users". TL:DR : Index users temporarily use the beta channel for a fix to the "left-hand-only-working" issue. Merry Christmas!

- Squingle Launches Today! - 15 July 2021
We've had one media review already, here is what they had to say: Rated 9.1/10 “One of the most fascinating and original things ever seen in the world of video games.” “The aesthetic work alone, which also leaves room for micro details on the animation front - even at the level of Paper Beast - is undoubtedly worth the full price of the ticket.” “Enriched with subtleties in the level design that dwarf some of the most important AAA studios that have tried and failed to explore the language.” “Squingle is one of the most beautiful products I have played in the last year of virtual reality, which ends up right on my personal Olympus, along with heavyweights like Rez Infinite, Thumper and Tetris Effect.” “If you are even remotely interested in the title, I strongly recommend its purchase, it is definitely ahead of everything that has recently been released both on Steam VR and on the offic…
