• UPDATE 1.09 - New Introduction Voiced Jokes From Nerm! - 29 September 2021

  This update is a pretty simple update and just adds a few new things that Nerm might joke about on the introduction screen. (The total number of possible random voiced sayings went from 20 to 25 with this update) Note: Nothing about the core gameplay mechanics or levels has changed at all. One important thing you might notice now is that if you try selecting "Multiplayer" from the introduction screen... a message will inform you that the "Nerm + Norma DLC" will come once this game receives 50 or more positive Steam reviews. If you want to see Norma, Nerms female companion come to this game to assist him with local multiplayer (and Remote Play Together as well), make sure you leave a review for this game here on Steam! • UPDATE 1.07 - Nerm Moves 10% Faster & A Brakes Problem Has Been Fixed - 23 June 2021

  In this update, Nerm will now start off about 10% faster than before and have a max speed about 7% faster then before. This update also includes new code in the brakes that should prevent Nerm from sometimes speeding up after applying brakes. His speed after applying brakes and moving again should now almost always be a little slower then before you applied the brakes. - This assumes Nerm isn't already at his minimum speed for the level you on when you applied the brakes. • PRICE CUT IN HALF FOR NERM THE WORM! - 1 February 2021

  Hello, great news everybody! Nerm's launch price of $5.99 USD back on October 23, 2020 has been cut in half to just $2.99 USD! The DLC for the Nerm Cap has also been reduced from $1.99 USD to just $0.99 USD! This should appeal to more people and get Nerm under the control of more people and make him some more fans! ..That's the hope anyhow! =) Have fun out there and don't let one bad apple ruin your day! ..There's plenty of good apples all around!

• UPDATE 1.06 - BRAKES BURN MORE! - 18 November 2020

  In update 1.06 here I've fixed what I believed was causing a very rare but random lock up while playing the game forcing a hard close of the game. This was due to the game sometimes getting stuck in an endless loop trying to find a free spot to drop a new apple. This update should fix that but PLEASE post here or in the bugs forum if you witness the game just suddenly freezing up with no way to exit the game and requiring a hard close to exit. I've also made using the brakes much more penalizing. Using the brakes was never intended to be used as an easy "escape death" tool so the consequences of using the brakes now can burn up more of your worm length faster than before. • UPDATE 1.05 - Getting Nerm Drunk Is A Good Thing? ...More Steam Achievements! - 14 November 2020

  Hello everyone! In update 1.05, Nerm just continues to slowly evolve. - Nerm now has good reason to take a dip into alcohol seen on a few of the levels and get drunk. First of all, more apples fall from the trees when Nerm is drunk. This could be him seeing several images of the same apple because he is so drunk, but they are worth points and growth none-the-less! Also while Nerm is drunk and the air is full of his drunken blur, the alcohol acts as a preservative meaning apples don't spoil as long as Nerm stays drunk! The apples also lose their point value much slower giving you the opportunity to rack up a lot more points.. assuming you can see where you are going that is! - It should be a little easier with this update to catch falling apples as Nerm can now catch the apples when they are still just a little in the air. - Keyboard and mouse controls are now clearly given on the introd…

• UPDATE 1.04 - Speedometer Added + Small Speed Changes! - 13 November 2020

  There's now a new speedometer added to the UI at the top left to show you the speed of Nerm as you move through the levels. CHANGES MADE TO NERMS SPEED: Before this update, Nerm would get a big speed burst when eating red or green apples that would slowly dissipate over time. But the problem with this complex system I originally designed was that if you didn't eat a red or green apple for several seconds, Nerms speed would drop and cause his speed to feel sluggish or even like the game was lagging, even though the game wasn't really lagging at all. With this new update, you simply gain speed for every red apple eaten. You'll get a double gain of speed for every green apple eaten. This higher speed will stay until you eat another apple and will not dissipate over time to prevent the game feeling sluggish at times. • UPDATE 1.03 - Very Small Scoring Change - 5 November 2020

  Hello everyone.. Just a small scoring change in this update and nothing more. Now whenever you exit a room, you'll get double the points as before. So if you have a Streak multiplier, that will still go into play multiplying the double points per length of your snake! • UPDATE 1.02 - Catch Apples As They Drop For Up To 25X Points! - 25 October 2020

  Hello again! As usual with fresh new games when I first launch them, updates usually come pretty quickly! Update 1.02 here fixes the possibility of multiple purple keys spawning due to eating several apples in a very short period (less than about a second). That should never happen again (thanks for reporting this Xecut1ve!) Also in this update is a brand new scoring opportunity while playing Nerm! If you watch the apples shadows as the apples fall and catch either a green apple or a red apple and it hits Nerms head instead of the ground, you'll score 1,000 points multiplied by whatever your current streak is at. (example: you catch a red apple as it drops to the ground while having an 11x Streak multiplier.. this would give you a scoring bonus of 11,000 points!) • UPDATE 1.01 - Right Mouse Button Pauses and UnPauses Now... - 24 October 2020

  Hello Nerm fans! In this small update, I added the ability to pause and unpause the game by simply pressing the right mouse button instead of needing to hit the ESC key. This is because if you had paused your game when headed right for a wall for example, and you had to use your left hand to hit the ESC key, it might mean by the time you place your left hand back on WASD you'd be dead. So this fix should help with that little problemo! I also fixed an issue where changing the music slider in the Options would result in a fatal error. That should no longer happen. Oh, and I made Nerms status be a few different things on the Pause screen instead of just the one thing about going on strike and sipping coffee. He'll now be described as doing 11 different things when you pause the game instead of just one. And I added a shadow under the words when paused so the words might be easier to read…

• Nerm the Worm Is Now Live! - 23 October 2020

  After many long nights of coding over the past month, Nerm is finally here and ready for you to help guide him to freedom! I've made a new write up on how the game works with in game pictures below, right on the Steam store page, so be sure and check that out as there is no in-game tutorial now. I really don't think a tutorial is needed because it's pretty simple to understand just by playing I think. Anyhow, I'm sure there will be some little bugs and things to iron out, but please if you purchase my game be sure to leave me feedback in my forums and also post any links to videos you might make as well in the forums!
