- Hint System: Explained - 6 October 2021
What’s a puzzle game without its hint system? Those of you who have already played The Plane Effect (us included) know just how frustrating the game and especially its puzzles can be. That’s exactly why we thought we’d reintroduce its hint system which (to us at least) has proven quite helpful as you encounter The Plane Effect’s most challenging riddles. We hope this will be of some help not just for those struggling with the game’s puzzles but also for those who haven’t yet played The Plane Effect. Don’t worry, it provides options for everyone from those eager to accept the challenge and beat its puzzles without hints to those in for the story and rather than the puzzles. Normal Play on Normal for the ultimate The Plane Effect experience. Normal mode gives you the opportunity to figure out the game’s riddles on your own without any hints. A little heads up here, it will probably leave…

- The Plane Effect - Level Highlights - 14 May 2021
The Office The Office. A place Solo knows well. It's his home 9-5 Monday to Friday, and sometimes on Saturdays too. Sat in front of his computer every day, with the cold glow of his screen illuminating his cosy cubicle. But. Today is his last day. He's finally free from the grind he was so tired of... The Train Station The daily commute is something Solo had become all too familiar with. Taking the train to and from work. Those same old daily noises, the hum of the tracks as the train approaches. Finally it's time to go home. For good. Solo's Home A place where Solo relaxes day-to-day. Modern, sleek, it fit the aesthetic of today. But somethings not right. Something is missing... where was his family? What is happening? Something feels very different today. In the sky, above the clouds, a faint eerie glow... Is someone, or something watching Solo?

- The Plane Effect is a dystopian game about getting home from work - 1 February 2021
A long commute home from the office, in the cold, with no daylight or warmth? We've all been there. But imagine if you could never quite get home, and you started to wonder whether home even existed at all. This is the premise of The Plane Effect - an indie title by PQube, Studio Kiku and Innovina Interactive that promises a dystopian and moody narrative experience. Players take on the role of Solo, a lonely office worker who's trying to get home to his family after his last day of work. Somewhat worryingly, it seems Solo experiences some trouble remembering his family, and also has to contend with the shifting balance of space and time. In gameplay terms, you'll be challenged with "untangling impossible series of events, getting to grips with the intangible and using logic to overcome the increasingly illogical dystopia around you". All in a day's work. Read more
