• Sunlight Accessibility Update - 6 June 2025

  Sunlight is receiving a major accessibility update! Sunlight is becoming accessible to more players. With this update we have added a new set of features to make Sunlight a more inclusive experience for everyone. In depth audio descriptions have been created to paint the picture of Sunlight through words, allowing players with vision impairment to experience the walk through the forest. In addition, screen reader support has been added to menus, narrative and gameplay. We have also performed some fixes and tweaks to improve your experience. Each tree in Sunlight features a unique voice, and now you will have a voice to guide you every step of the way. • Working with classical music in our games - 24 March 2021

  Introduction Audio is an integral part of all our games, and music specifically has been a central focal point. From working with talented musicians to compose original scores for the street musicians in Mosaic, to using a lullaby the whole team grew up with in Among the Sleep. In our two smaller games, The Plan and Sunlight however, we decided to use powerful classical works to carry the narrative and emotion of the games, and we thought it would be fun to elaborate a bit on this process. Contains spoilers for The Plan and Sunlight. Decisions On all our projects, the starting point for the music was the emotional and narrative goal of the project as a whole. It might seem obvious, but really picking apart what the game is, was key to understanding what we want to achieve with the music. It’s always scary to share work, but when people seem to like it it’s also super rewarding! “Krillbite have created something truly rare – a moment of present, tranquil mindfulness to explore.   Thank Christ 2020 is over. While we’ll be able to regale our grandkids with stories about toilet roll shortages and incompetent governments, last year would’ve been better if we were able to just do the things we’d all been planning to do. However, now that we’re a couple weeks into the new year, we know that things didn’t drastically change at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. The calendar might as well read December 2020 II: Once More With Feeling. But, look, we can all do our bit by just staying in doors with some lovely new video games. (more…)

  Some days at work are not like the rest. It was truly wonderful to witness the award winning choir Aurum perform in the Archbishops palace in Trondheim. Put on a headset, and enjoy the breathtaking music from our next game Sunlight: The hauntingly beautiful music (Hymn of the Cherubim, composed by Tchaikovsky) was recorded in the Archbishops palace in Trondheim, Norway, and sung by the award winning choir Kammerkoret Aurum. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did
