  • THE NEW DEMO IS OUT NOW! - 9 September 2026

Hello everyone!I'm excited to let you all know that the brand new Fakutori demo is live, and free to play right now!Experiment with the elements to uncover Shooting Stars, Fizzy Water, Rainbows and more, with over 35 unique materials to find in this new demo.If you're new to Fakutori (where have you been!?) it is all about combining elements to see what happens. You start with earth, water, fire and air, then mix them to discover more and more - some things you'll see coming, some you won't...A lot of feedback from the old demo went straight into this one, so thanks a lot for taking the time to send it. I'd love you to have a proper poke around in this one and tell me what you think!Play the demo nowThere'll be plenty more to share over the next few weeks.Thank you so much!Antoine

  • BIG NEWS: Fakutori has a publisher, a brand new trailer, and a 2026 release! - 23 June 2026

Hello everyone!Quite a lot to share today...There's a brand new trailer for the game! Have a watch:This is the best look at Fakutori so far: the elements, the discovery, the factories, and a few things I won't spoil! I'm really proud of how it came together, so I hope you enjoy it.Now, onto the rest of the news…Firstly, Fakutori has found a home. I've teamed up with Mythwright to bring the game to launch, and I couldn't be happier about it! They're the folks behind games like Thronefall, Going Medieval and Scriptorium, so the game's in good hands. Having a team to help me get Fakutori in front of as many people as possible means I can keep doing the bit I love most: making the game.Another big announcement: Fakutori is launching in 2026! No exact date just yet, but it's coming this year, and things are about to get busy. Some of you played the old demo, and from the bottom of my heart, t…

  • Development update - December 2025 - 1 December 2025

Hey all! Sorry for the long silence over here, I'll try to post more frequent updates...Development of Fakutori is progressing well! I've added a lot of content since the demo, which you'll get to try out when the full game comes out. Here's a sneak peek focused on new element blocks!Let's start with these four new blocks : Ice, Obsidian, Black Fire and Astralite! Ice can cool blocks with the property "burning", like Fire or Lava, which transforms them into something else. Here's how it looks when it cools a block of Lava, turning it into Obsidian:This will be a very useful mechanic in the game, which will lead to the disovery of many elements!Another new block with its own mechanic: Achondrite (a kind of meteorite), which will break when dropped from some height, transforming into a random metal block. What's that black one which isn't in the demo? That's Lead, the most common block to…

  • Fakutori's demo gets an overhaul! - 3 September 2025

Good news, everyone! After months of work and playtesting, I'm happy to announce a new version of the demo! This is mostly a technical update: huge chunks of the game's code and systems have been rewritten. The result: increased stability, fewer bugs, and most importantly, a dramatic increase in framerate! Wakas reported up to 10 times the framerate in some cases, which is especially noticeable on very big factories. You know what that means: time to build even bigger factories! The content itself is basically the same, but the update also packs a bunch of QoL changes and small reworks that will make your factory building easier. Here's what you can look forward in this new and improved demo:As I said, the game runs better than ever; huge factories will not impact your framerate as much as they did before, so build away! The core system of the game, which dictates the way blocks move and i…
