• Development story - 16 July 2025

  At the time of writing this story, it has been 5 years since I released Golems TD. So I decided to play it for a while, to take a look at the steam page and collect my thoughts. The project started with an idea to create a unique tower defence where you can design your own golems. I chose 5 core elements as basic building blocks for both towers and golems. Where each element has its counter element. It worked fine but I really wanted to add a hero that the player can control directly. I had previous experience making games in Unity. Golems TD was my first game made in Unreal Engine 4 so I had to learn a lot before I managed to make it work the way I wanted it to work.
