- Pre-Live Hotfix 3 - 3 April 2025
Still waiting for art to come in for the final update but until then, here's a tiny bug fix for anyone messing around with the Marble Race piece and discovering some weirdness where it wouldn't delete properly.
- Pre-Live Hotfix 2 - 5 February 2025
This little patch fixes the bug where marbles were disappearing in the middle of the field. It's honestly crazy that this somehow got through all my testing. Anyway, keep enjoying the game and keep reporting bugs to me! I'm still looking into a bug with the "refund all" button not refunding. If anyone has a save file where this happens to you, please send it over to [email protected] and I'll keep trying to fix it. Thanks and have fun!
- Pre-Live Hotfix 1 - 4 February 2025
Some folks were experiencing save loss with the latest update. The problem has been identified and eliminated! If you lost your save, you should be able to retrieve a backup by following these instructions: Your save directory should be located somewhere similar to this- C:\Users\ \AppData\LocalLow\Fun First\IncrediMarble Inside of this directory is ManualSave00.json (the active save file) and AutoSave10.json (in addition to 20 and 30.) If any of these AutoSave files are larger than your ManualSave00 file, it is likely they contain your old save! Being sure to back up your current files, store ManualSave00 somewhere else and make a copy of AutoSave10 (or 20 or 30) and rename it ManualSave00 so it becomes the new active save. Your progress in the game should be restored! I apologize to all those affected. This problem arose from a difference in the code that runs in Unity vs in final pro…
- The Pre-Live Update hits for the Idler Fest with the deepest discount yet! - 3 February 2025
Hey marble fans! I know it's been a while but the Idler Fest seems like a good a time as any to get all the biggest changes to IncrediMarble out there for your playing pleasure! I'll list some of the biggest changes below but for those who don't own the game yet, here's some important information: We're having one last sale before the game goes live with an increased price. 20% off before the price increases! Up until this point, every sale has only been 15% making this is the largest sale IncrediMarble has had on Steam and it's unlikely the sales will get any larger in the foreseeable future. What does that mean? If you're still on the fence, now is the time to buy! As the name of this update implies, this patch is practically the final product. I actually wanted to have the game Live for this update but some outside forces combined to delay some very important additions (hint, they ar…
- Colorful Update: Version 1.7 Patch Notes - 15 October 2023
The Colorful Update! - Version 1.7.0 - You now have access to a color picker! - The color picker lets you change slide, marble, and background colors! - Fixed bug with marbles getting stuck in late-game pieces. - Fixed various other bugs. - There are more changes to come soon to prepare for leaving Early Access on Steam!
- It's finally here, the "Colorful" update! - 15 October 2023
Hey there, marble heads! It's been a long time coming but the #1 requested feature is finally here! You can now change the colors of marbles, slides, and even the background! You edit the current color palette to your liking and go wild. If you want to reset the palette to default colors, you can toggle the Holiday theme. The #2 requested feature is actually a bug fix: The late-game pieces now have boosters in them to keep the marbles flowing. I also discovered a bug related to any overlapping pieces (like the criss-cross and loops) that would get marbles stuck that should now be fixed. Otherwise, this includes all the bug fixes I could get in since the last release. I hope you're all enjoying the game! I'm planning on adding a volume slider, trying to make the Twitch integration smoother, and fixing up whatever else feels necessary to leave Early Access before the end of the year. Than…
- A colorful, nice 1.6.9 update on the public beta-test branch! - 6 September 2023
Hey there marble lovers! There's an update on the public beta-test branch that's a basically-finished version of the next major patch, bringing IncrediMarble very close to a state in which it will leave Early Access! To play this new version, right click IncrediMarble in your Steam library, select "properties," then "Betas," and click the drop-down and choose "beta-test - The open beta test branch." Your game should update and you'll be introduced to the most colorful new feature IncrediMarble will ever receive. Note: If you're worried about bugs, you can backup your save at (for Windows users) C:\Users\ \AppData\LocalLow\Fun First\IncrediMarble\ManualSave00.json (Mac/Linux users need to figure out where this file is on their own. Sorry, I forgot!) So, what's new? 2 major things. 1: If your platform's native language doesn't use the period character for decimal points, the game should n…
- Regional pricing has been updated. - 29 March 2023
Considering I haven't updated the pricing since the original release and the economy has shifted around the Globe, I figured I would update the regional pricing for everyone outside the US. So if you've had the game wishlisted for a while and are still on the fence, hopefully the pricing better fits your budgetary needs! The US price remains unchanged... which is, in a way, its own discount. ;) Have fun!
- Motorized Update - Version 1.6 released! - 4 September 2022
Welcome to IncrediMarble 1.6! It may not seem like much but a few important changes have been made to the game's engine to allow for better updates in the future. First is the floating UI element that you'll see when highlighting any piece that has a wheel or a marble spawner. You're now able to use this floating UI to enable and disable the motor on any wheel piece. The "spawn randomly" button has now been moved to this UI element as well for the marble spawners. If you didn't know about it, this allows marbles to be much less determinate in how they move down your slide tower. It's not the most popular game feature but it's a solid use case for future implementations of this new UI element. Another important change is save file size. Sizes are now 30% smaller! Although this doesn't really seem like it matters considering the save files are already very tiny, it's super important in co…
- Holiday Update - IncrediMarble version 1.5! - 25 December 2021
Happy Holidays to all you marble heads! There's a small pile of presents for you with this major update: A new piece has been made that initiates a marble race mode! Click the checkered flag in the bottom left to try it out! A limited-time Winter theme has been added. Enable this in the options panel. Also in the options panel, the ability to enable the experimental multi-piece selection. Please enable it and give it a try! As usual, a bunch of bug fixes and backend improvements were made that I can't keep track of and, honestly, would make you yawn if I listed them. Trust. ;)
- Multi-slide selection boxes now live in the beta branch. - 19 September 2021
Hello marble heads! I hope you've all had a great summer! I've added a new beta branch for all three platforms to Steam so experimental IncrediMarble updates can get delivered to you for testing. This new beta test version of IncrediMarble will share the save file you have for the release version of the game. In other words, this is cross-save compatible! In order to access the new beta, simply right click IncrediMarble in your Steam Library, choose properties, select betas, and choose beta-test from the dropdown. This version of IncrediMarble allows you to either hold the right mouse button to create a selection box or hold the Control key while left clicking on pieces. There are still some kinks to work out with this new feature: You currently cannot left-click drag the window around while keeping multiple pieces selected. Piece highlighting (both visual and mechanical) may be unaccep…
- Hotfix Patch 07/03/2021 - 3 July 2021
The curious case of the missing marbles is hotfixed again. Happy Holiday Weekend!
- Hotfix Patch - MacOS 06/30/2021 - 1 July 2021
Fixed a bug where MacOS players could not access the Sandbox Mode DLC. Please mail me at [email protected] if you see any bugs! Thank you to everyone helping me make sure IncerdiMarble has as few bugs as possible when it leaves Early Access!
- Hotfix Patch 06/30/2021 - 30 June 2021
Two small fixes for the Linux version of the game: The DLC should now be activating correctly. The button opening a webpage for retrieving your OAuth token for Twitch Integration should now smoothly do so.
- Hotfix Patch 06/22/2021 - 22 June 2021
A fix for the curious case of the disappearing marble slides. (They were still there, you just couldn't see them until you moved the camera again.)
- Hotfix Patch 06/21/2021 - 21 June 2021
A small fix has been implemented for the Linux version of the game preventing horrible lag when trying to open up links from in-game while the Steam overlay is enabled.
- MacOS and Linux support now available! - 21 June 2021
You didn't ask for it, but you got it anyway! MacOS and Linux platforms can now natively play IncrediMarble! Enjoy!
- Hotfix Patch 05/09/2021 - 9 May 2021
Just a tiny fix to the new build mode for the elevator piece. It should properly stay snapped to the grid now. Thanks to player ikillomega for reporting the bug!
- Early Access Patch 05/08/2021 - New Build Mode - 8 May 2021
Heya folks! Updates have slowed down significantly and I apologize for that. The plan is still to leave Early Access in the Summer months, though! Until the next update (which should include a tutorial, a couple new fun pieces, and BIG MAYBE multi-selection) I wanted to get something out that's been in pre-release for a while now: Fast building! This new mode (which I need your feedback on and thus doesn't have a way to toggle off right now) lets you very quickly build marble tracks! This should be a boon for... well... everyone! It's honestly a much nicer way to build if you're usually playing with snap mode on. I hope you all enjoy it. Don't forget to leave feedback in the forums if you have any thoughts about it, either positive or negative. Until next time, happy building!
- Hotfix Patch 03/26/2021 - 26 March 2021
A very kind new player reported an exploit that has now been patched. Thank you, as always, for your support!
