- New sandbox update and music update - 5 October 2025
See the full notes in the discussion thread, but tl;dr (too long didn't read) is a new sandbox with new objects, stability adjustments, and a full music soundtrack.
- Bug fixes - 10 August 2025
Yes the game is still getting updates, I am also thinking about a large content update currently. This one is just bug fixes. fixed a bug that would trigger blob without the blob being on screen fixed a bug that would prevent water from turning into ice fixed a bug that would turn any objects interacting with the electron objects into the wrong object general stability updates
- Hot Fix for achivements and physics improvements - 1 August 2024
Minor physics improvements and a fix for achievements
- Bug fixes and new steam sdk - 13 August 2022
Fixed a minor bug and updated to a newer steam SDK. Thanks to user Ham Sandwich for making me aware of the bug. The build took a long time to release and fix as Game Maker 2 which physics cake is made in, released an update that broke all the integrated steam functions and forced you to update to using a new extension. This took a bit to implement as they removed the old way of doing things and just broke my game from compiling. Everything is fixed now and updates will resume. There was also an issue with the ice object making water turn into the blob for no reason, which has since been fixed.
- Build 35 Update - 8 February 2022
I added the ability to pause physics at any time, you can do it while building things, before, or during. It is fun and allows for more creativity.
- Build 34 out of early access - 23 August 2021
Build 34 - Added lava - Game is mostly stable and will be taken out of early access (there will still be more content updates here and there in the future)
- Beta Build 33 - Tutorial - 3 June 2021
Build 33 - Added a tutorial room - Fixed the cake on the title screen bouncing through the title screen buttons
- Build 32 - 28 May 2021
- heating up the ball makes it bounce up and get red hot. - electrons now die upon hitting grass, this seems fitting. - starting the game now gives you a selection menu to load the main sandbox or the debug room. - added sandbox 2 - added the cake object to sandbox 2 - added ash (generated through object interactions) - added nanites object to sandbox 2 - added salt object to sandbox 2 - added rainbow fire for fire on salt collision - added salty water and salty jello - added rusted nanite - made gold a pickable spawnable object for sandbox 2 - made gold meltable - made the cake squishable by gold - added interactions for cake and whipped cream (squished cake object) with the stick figure - added interactions for the gold and liquid gold objects with the stick figure object - gold can now coat whipped cream and cake in a layer of gold which will change the cakes/whipped creams interacti…
- MASSIVE coming update - 11 May 2021
Since the Mac version was scrapped due to issues with Apple's code signing requirements and issues with running the game on the newest macs with the M1 chips, we have been planning on where to take the current version of the game. I am excited to announce that currently in development there is now a selection room with different sandboxes full of new and different objects to choose from. This does not mean the current mostly finished sandbox 1 (the current main physics environment) will stop getting updates and more object interactions as I am actively working on those and there will be new ones in the next update. This also means that there will probably be some of the previous objects that were scrapped for not fitting in with the mostly organic theme of the first physics environment. So things that were never released will probably be repurposed. The debug room will also be easier to…
- Mac Version Cancelled - 23 April 2021
We were able to build a mac version, but due to their policies on code signing and the fact you have to have certain mac hardware to build for mac, we have decided to cancel our mac build of the game due to us being uncertain with how developing for mac will look in the future and differences for mac based on their new m1 chip. We are going to see what we can take from the mac version to make the current windows build of the game even better.
- Update Build 31 - 6 April 2021
Build 31 - fixed a bug where gold would not change into the blob. - fixed a bug where the pulley object would not change into the blob. - fixed a bug where the weight objects generated by the pulley would not save. - text is now shown when the save function executes and goes away when it finishes saving. - text is now shown when the load function executes and goes away when it finishes loading. - updated the spawner code to allow spawners to spawn faster. spawners also delete properly now instead of being laggy when trying to delete them.
- Build 30 update - 3 April 2021
Build 30 - Fixed an issue with the sticky object not being able to be dragged upwards. - Added a secret object, THE BLOB - Added a secret object, GOLD - Added an alt sprite for the ball object
- Update Progress - 19 March 2021
The current update has been delayed as I did not like one of the new features I had a plan on adding that took several weeks to implement. I decided it was not up to my standards. I may try to rework it. I also scrapped 3 different new objects as they just did not fit well with the other current in-game objects. Also, we recently got a mac for our development office and are hard at work getting things set up for a mac build of the game. We apologize for the lack of new content and still being in early access, however, we are doing our best to make sure we maintain quality and listen to everyone's feedback.
- Build 29 Update - 24 February 2021
- made achievements for initial object creation less spammy. Each object now requires more than one to be spawned. (still a very low number, in this case, it is 25 for water and 5 for the water spawner), but semi-random across objects in order to cut down on how many achievements are triggered in rapid succession. All achievements are still easy to unlock this way and fast to unlock, to satisfy achievement hunters, but not annoy first-time users as much. - made the drag-up object no longer use physics so it still functions the same but no longer takes up a physics slot. made the upwards drag more fluid and less jerky. - Revised the achievements on steams side to show which ones trigger via the debug room. - added the workout, juggle, vomit, eat jello, shocking, frozen, burned, and drowned achievements for the stick figure. - None of the spawners take up physics slots now and are all non…
- Update Progress - 21 February 2021
So previous updates have been a lot faster to come out. This one has been about a month since the last large update. I wanted to let everyone know I am working on it. It is taking a long time as I am making adjustments to the physics engine itself and that is making the game a lot more stable and that means more objects can be on screen at once with less lag, and I will be able to add more objects and interactions into the game. I also was addressing some of the comments in negative reviews, as criticism is an opportunity for growth. One of the things I hear a lot is the achievements triggering so often can be annoying. So in the coming update, I made them less spammy, but making the minimum object sawn counts higher. This way people who are achievement hunters can still get all their achievements quickly, but users who don't care about achievements as much will not be bothered by them.…
- Happy Lunar New Year - 11 February 2021
Growing up there was nothing better than Steam Sales on games! I remember getting tons of awesome indie games for cents. So I am VERY pleased to be part of the Steam Lunar New Year sale!
- Build 28 minor fix - 7 February 2021
- added the where did it go achievement to auto-trigger on going to the debug room since some people's computers might be so good that the lag protection won't kick in. This actually was a problem for more than one user and thus stopped them from getting the achievement.
- Minor patch and content updates - 1 February 2021
- Added a ball juggling animation for when the stick figure collides with the ball object or clacker ball object. - Fixed a bug where if you drag away from the stick figure while dragging him and move your mouse away quickly, he can be picked back up, or won't just hang there when you release the right mouse button. - The stick figure man will now die and get sucked up by the void object. - The stick figure man will now use portals.
- Build 27 MAJOR Updates - 10 January 2021
build 27 - The lag protection now triggers if frames are under 4 fps for a prolonged period of time, instead of 5 fps as the physics engine has been improved a lot. Lag protection code has been slightly improved as well. - The jello objects for states 2 and 3 have been merged into one object. They just swap different sprites but use the same collision group and collision box now as they were very close in size, to begin with. This maintains the same expansion effects but reduces the amount of overhead and collision checking needed. - The jello objects for states 5 and 6 have been merged into one object. They just swap different sprites but use the same collision group and collision box now as they were very close in size, to begin with. This maintains the same expansion effects but reduces the amount of overhead and collision checking needed. - The jello objects for states 10 and 12 hav…
