Open Roads is taking a slight detour on its way to launch and will release on March 28 instead of our previously announced February 22 release date. We're taking a bit more time to give Open Roads some final polish but we're looking forward to sharing the game with the rest of you!
- Fullbright co-founder steps down amidst studio exodus - 5 August 2021
Steve Gaynor, co-founder of Gone Home and Tacoma developer Fullbright, has stepped down as the studio's creative lead and manager. Fullbright officially announced the change last night, ahead of a Polygon report which detailed an exodus of staff at the company "at least in part due to Gaynor's behaviour toward workers". Gaynor will remain a writer on Open Roads, the upcoming Annapurna-published story of a mother and daughter, which will now no longer be released in 2021. Read more

Fullbright, the developers behind Gone Home and Tacoma , have announced their new game, Open Roads . It’s a first-person adventure game about a mother and daughter on a road trip searching for some long lost family secrets. Fullbright, the developer behind acclaimed narrative adventures Gone Home and Tacoma, has unveiled its latest offering, Open Roads. "One fine fall day," explains Open Roads' newly launched Steam page , "Tess Devine and her mother, Opal, discover a cache of old notes and letters carefully stashed away in the attic of their house. Hints of deep-rooted family secrets, decades-old burglaries, a lost treasure somewhere near the Canadian border... What they uncover suggests a much darker mystery, best left well enough alone. But that's not going to happen." The ensuing adventure follows 16-year-old Tess and mother Opal - voiced by Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) and Keri Russell (The Americans) respectively - as they explore a series of evocative, long-abandoned family properties in search of answers.
