• Stream Quest - Final Release - 5 July 2025

  Hey folks! Just a quick one from me. Stream Quest has been hanging over my head for a while now, it's fair to say. After some catastrophic data loss (and my younger self not learning the value of Version Control), the original Stream Quest was lost to time. A while ago I started on Stream Quest Redux, from the ground up, but after restarting the project a few times I just failed to find that spark that made the original work, and realised that it was way over my head. So today I ditch the "Early Access" tag, drop the price to almost nothing, and let it live in its own world - the game still functions, and I still offer support for the very few known bugs (mostly down to some countries using , instead of . when it comes to putting in the time delay), and would love to revisit this project again soon. • Stream Quest Redux is on the way! - 22 August 2023

  Hey folks! I know it's been a while, but I thought I'd break the silence. For the last couple of months I've been rebuilding Stream Quest from scratch after losing access to a lot of the original source files (RIP old computer, thanks for the lesson about backing up stuff!). After two years working in AAA, this seemed the right time to rebuild my old project - originally a Student project, would you believe it? - and release it in the form it was always intended to be. • The Viking Update - Stream Quest 0.9a - 9 February 2021

  I am pleased to announce the unveiling of our next Content update! The Vikings Patch brings two new player characters - Aleta Ironhide and Esbjorn Godsworn, named in conjunction with the fantastic Kormakrtv on Twitch! We have also included our FULL ORIGINAL OST! Composed by Farovar Music, it really adds depth to the game and we are looking into releasing it as free DLC for all owners of Stream Quest. Finally, amid a slew of bugfixes, we've also added the functionality to have the game paused while in the Options screen, for those of you that wanted to play the game between other games without losing progress. I hope you are all staying safe and well, and that leaves us only one major update from full release - it's a little way off, but I am finally brainstorming the Magic system! Stay Questy!

• Patch 0.8b - 29 January 2021

  Prepared the game for new characters coming soon! Also a short list of bug fixes and QoL improvements. > Re-integrated the Main Menu animations, added an Options screen for volume control and fullscreen toggle > Added the option to use an OAuth token to connect to Twitch for some users who were having issues - this is completely optional. It's not 100% effective, because the Twitch backend is ancient, but is definitely more consistent and should bypass any authentications issues that were happening. > Fixed a bug where getting a donation for Double Damage reset on level-up > Fixed a movement bug with streamer-controlled enemies (hopefully) > Minor optimisations in preparation for future works I just want to close out this by saying THANK YOU for supporting me! • Patch 0.8a - 15 January 2021

  The latest update brings a few major bugfixes, some tweaks to how the game connects to Twitch and, most importantly, the groundwork for a Player Selection system. The last one is particularly exciting as it leads into creating not only the Player Levelling system (For both the Hero and the Monsters) and creating challenge as the dungeon progresses, but also the framework for different characters with different starting abilities. Implemented a Character Selection framework Removed the need for an OAuth Token. This was more confusing than it was beneficial, and although with the removal of it I have lost the ability to post directly to Twitch Chat, the benefits of a streamlined connection and ease of use far outweigh far outway the cons.
