Gearbox's much-loved World War 2 shooter series Brothers in Arms has joined the ever-growing line-up of video games to get the TV adaptation treatment. As revealed by the Hollywood Reporter , the new adaptation will be based on Gearbox's 2005 Brothers in Arms effort, Road to Hill 30, which told the story of a group of paratroopers mis-dropped and separated behind enemy lines during the D-Day invasion of Normandy - inspired by the real-life experiences of the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment during Mission Albany. The TV show will reportedly deviate from Road to Hill 30's story somewhat, charting the journey of eight men as they attempt to rescue their colonel from enemy forces, and will expand considerably on the game by incorporating elements of the real-life Exercise Tiger, a botched Allied D-Day rehearsal that was hushed up following the deaths of 800 US servicemen. Gearbox have revealed a new Brothers in Arms game at the Ubisoft press conference. It's a welcome return for the series, which has been quiet since Hell's Highway, which came out way back in 2008.
