  Hey Gas Jockeys! If you've played Gas Station Simulator, you might already know that we're not exactly alone on Route 66. At the gas station, the aliens are responsible for some rather unusual situations. Press the UFO button and suddenly cars and customers disappear and every now and then, their Party Bus arrives with a whole group of aliens ready to party and spend a surprising amount of money at the gas station. But in Roadhouse Simulator, we get to see a little more of their story. Long before Uncle runs the gas station, he already crosses paths with our visitors from above. This time, they need our help. Throughout the game, we collect items left behind by the gangs, put them together and smuggle them to the aliens to create the fuel they need to leave Earth. • Why we went back in time? - 11 September 2026

  Hey Gas Jockeys! As you probably know from our devlog “How Shady Deals Became Roadhouse Simulator”, when we started working on Shady Deals, we intended it to be another major DLC for Gas Station Simulator. The pub was meant to be another part of the petrol station, with Uncle introducing the player to the more dubious side of the business. Once we decided to make it a full-fledged game, another question arose: when should this story take place? We already knew where Uncle would eventually end up, but not how he got there. Since Road House as a business was going to be his story, why not go back in time and see him before all that? And that’s how the idea of making it a prequel to Gas Station Simulator was born. We moved the story to an earlier stage in Uncle’s life, to a different part of Route 66, and turned the roadside inn next to the petrol station into the game’s main setting. Some…

  What if we looked at the same road from a different door? Hey Gas Jockeys! When we were working on Gas Station Simulator, we spent a lot of time thinking about Route 66. Not just what it should look like, but what it should feel like. We wanted that feeling of being somewhere in the middle of nowhere, where the road seems endless and the next car could bring absolutely anyone to your doorstep. That's part of what made the gas station so much fun to build. It's a small place, but the world keeps coming to it. Travelers stop for fuel, grab something to eat, look around the store, and then disappear back onto the road. After spending so much time with that idea, we started wondering about the other places along Route 66. What happens behind the next door? Who stops there? In the wild, capybaras and crocodilians can often be found sharing the same environment without constantly turning it into a fight. They simply coexist sometimes getting surprisingly close to one another. You've already met the crocodile Gustave in Gas Station Simulator. And now, at Caldora Airport, there's another animal making itself at home... the capybara. Maybe the crocodile doesn't see the capybara as a snack. Every now and then there is always that one rumor floating around, so we would like to take a moment and make it official: we are NOT working on multiplayer for Gas Station Simulator. Adding multiplayer to Gas Station Simulator with all its DLCs at this point would be a close to insane undertaking and make no mistake, adding a multiplayer retroactively to a game that was never designed with multiplayer in mind more often than not ends with a subpar experience anyway.
