- [ENG/ES] How we create our environments? / ¿Cómo creamos nuestros escenarios? - 30 January 2023
¡Versión en español mas abajo! Some time ago we announced the second map for Deck RX - The WasteSands - and as we are getting closer to the date when we will include it in the ODB (Open Dev Access) builds, we are polishing some details! This map has already been played by some players in the events we attended during last months of 2022, but now we have been changing some details here and there, mostly of its background, to make it stand out during the race without annoy the player. This is what The WasteSands previously looked like. The distance between camera and background landscapes in Deck RX forces us to develope very detailed environments or better said, environments full of elements and decorations to avoid them looking too empty. This is a challenging task as we have to find the perfect balance to give the game a smooth performance without losing any graphic quality. In this ne…
- Can you guess these cards? - 23 December 2022
Hello everyone! Here we are again to show you the illustrations of the special starter cards we’ve designed for our new character, MOTHER. And we would like to play some kind of game... If we show you the name and the illustration of the card, do you think you can guess what effect it has in the game? We will show you these 3: Bend Space: Antimatter Shield: Warp: We also wanted to take this update to wish you HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a wonderful beginning of 2023, the year in which (we hope) Deck RX will have its official release! Greetings to all of you and thank you so much for reading us!
- New dialogues! - 14 December 2022
Hello once again! Today we are here to show you one of the many changes we are making in Deck RX thanks to your feedback! A lot of people have said that they were kind of annoyed by the dialogue frames that appeared after certain actions within a race such as duels. We decided to introduce these new ones into the game, which are not only smaller but as you can see in the video below they let you know more precisely which vehicles are involved in the action and where they are at that moment. Also, as you may see, they adapt to the camera position and movement. We have taken into account the priority of the information that interests the player, being this ACTION > VEHICLES INVOLVED > CAPTION. This along with other changes will be coming to versions like the demo or the Open Dev Access that our Kickstarter backers have soon. Tell us what you think about this change! See you soon!
- Sneak peek of MOTHER - 7 December 2022
This week we are celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Kickstarter campaign for Deck RX. To celebrate this, we'd like to show you a sneak peek of MOTHER, the fifth playable character we've created for our deckbuilding racing game. Although with some ups-n-downs, we are proud to say that Deck RX is getting closer to its release. We'll give more info about this character on the following weeks, since we are finishing her last details and cards, along with some other interface related changes. We still working on improving the game interface and its visual aspect, as some of you may have already noticed. We would also like to let you know that we will soon update the demo to show you some new content. See you soon.
- Bordeaux redesign - 28 October 2022
Hello everyone! We are introducing you the new design of one of Deck RX’s main characters, Bordeaux. We are working on visual changes, mainly focused on the interface and visual clarity issues of the game, trying to make the game easier to understand. We will be showing more of these changes in the following weeks but now, we will show you the visual rework of this character. This is the new version of Bordeaux. We have made a complete redesign of the character to fit the look that we want for Deck RX. We have even added an animated metallic tail that we think gives personality to the character design. We've also decided to change her entire look as well as her face, but we decided to keep her colors, as her ship – at least for now – remains the same. Oh yes, and she's missing an arm. She was too much powerful with two. I said she was too strong with two because Bordeaux is still the de…
- Unfortunately, Deck RX will be delayed to 2023. - 2 August 2022
Hello! I hope this update finds you well. It has been a while without updating you on how the Deck RX project is going and today, we finally bring you some news. The superbackers that are part of the Open Dev Access have more info on this topic as we talk to them from time to time on Discord about how the development is going. Feel free to join! A Kickstarter campaign, although successful, with a total amount of 10.000€ like ours does not allow us to complete in its entirety the ambitious project we have in hand. And above all, we don't want to deliver a bad or unfinished product. We want to do things right and even if it takes us more time, even if it hurts us, we prefer to tell publicly that Deck RX will be delayed from Q4 2022 to 2023. We made this decision because as some of you may know we are also Publishers for other studios, helping them to bring their games to the public both P…
- We've changed... - 9 February 2022
Hi everyone! After a few weeks, I’m once again here to show you what we’ve been working on for Deck RX but this time, it doesn't affect the content of the game although it's a really important change. We’ve changed the main logo of the title. We’ve been considering this for a long time now and we think it fits really well with the title because after almost two years of development we now know a lot more about Deck RX in comparison to when we first designed the logo. We’ve made this decision to give the title a different style and show how we really want the game to look like. Here’s a comparison between old and new logo! As you can see, the new logo is more simple and minimalist. We really think that the old one, even when it was more colorful and strong, didnt fit too well with the Deck RX aesthetic and it was less versatile. With the new one we seek contrast, combining it with the ne…
- Deck RX development after Kickstarter - 24 January 2022
Hi again! Hope you are all doing well! After the Deck RX Kickstarter, we’ve been working on several things related to the game and its development. As you may know, one of the rewards of the campaign was the Open Dev Access, this allows you to play an updatable demo in which we would add content that will be in the final game. First thing we developed was characters, playable and non playable ones, which will be used as enemies. First, we gave live to Oraklos, the Deaf City’s special enemy. After this, we created Bordeaux, a playable character that is already part of Deck RX, and this time you are able to play as her! Now, the Open Dev Access Superbackers have a new character to race with! Bordeaux is a duel-related character and she’s focused on constantly fighting her enemies, check this video we’ve created for her release! We are also working on other aspects of the game such as map…

- Deck RX Post-Mortem - 20 December 2021
Hi guys! Two weeks after completing our Kickstarter for Deck RX successfully we wrote a post-mortem, sharing our thoughts about how was running a campaign like this from our point of view. If you feel curious about how we went through the entire campaign, please I encourage you to read it! I had a really good time writing it. You can access the post-mortem PDF by clicking on this link I will give you below here: Download the Deck RX Post-Mortem here (ENG and ES) There were good and bad times while the campaign was active, but as you may know we finally reached 100% funded! Thank you all for the support and leave a comment if you read it! See you soon!
- We did it! 100% FUNDED on Kickstarter! - 3 December 2021
Thank you all so much, it's been a tough road and certainly an adventure, but here we are with the campaign 100% complete! It has been very exciting and hard at the same time, the mid-campaign plateau had us very worried and we thought that the drip of pledges was going to make us miss our goal. On the other hand, the first and last 72 hours of the campaign have been a continuous outpouring of love and money for Deck RX, with constant twitter interactions and pledges every few minutes that made us feel loved and supported. We'll be in touch in a few weeks so you can access your rewards, and once again, thank you all so much. We know people always say this but, we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you all very much, see you at the Deck Races.
- The Deck RX Kickstarter campaign is about to end! - 2 December 2021
Hi! Less than 48h left for the end of the campaign and we are cheerful with how the project is doing these last days! Deck RX is getting closer to the goal! In this update we want to thank all of you who with your contribution, are helping to move this campaign forward. At the time I am writing this, there are already more than 200 people who have decided to support us, and we thank each and every one of them. We would also like to say that if you know someone who might be interested in Deck RX please let them know. Maybe they may be interested in a copy of the game + any special rewards available, such as access to updated versions of the demo, or some of the physical rewards like the keychains, instead of just the game when the release date comes. And maybe some of you want to take a look at the rewards carefully, I remind you that you can increase your pledge at any time and pick rew…
- Introducing Bordeaux, our new playable character - 30 November 2021
Last week we showed you this image and promised you more info coming this week news, well, here we are again. We officially announce Bordeaux, the first playable character that we will add to Deck RX in an upcoming update. As you may know, backers with the Open Dev Access Pass (Gold and above) will be the first to be able to ride the Deck Races with her. Some of you may already know this, but Bordeaux is a duel-based character that takes advantage of aggressive decks. She is interested in initiating duels with her enemies, as she will have dueling related mechanics to get special benefits thanks to her unique cards, such as restoring life after a duel, double damage... or even gaining advantage from lost clash! Bordeaux will ride the Scarlet Widow, as you can see, our artists gave her a design as aggressive as she is. Sharp, pointed shapes to confront her enemies. Aggresive colors becau…
- Special card backs for each character! - 22 November 2021
Hello! We are back to show you even more content that is coming to Deck RX! As you have already seen, we are working hard and striving to bring good content to Deck RX, not only fixing bugs and balancing the current demo but also for future versions, that the owners of the Open Dev Access Pass (Gold tier and above) will be able to enjoy. We are also looking forward to the final state of the game. I’m here to show you the new card backs that our lead artist Ulises Lafuente has designed for Deck RX! These backs will be unlockable in-game by completing the specific challenges that each character will have, bringing not only visual customization to your game but also another reason to improve with each character during your adventure in the Deck Races! We'd also like to send a shout-out to the artists who have backed our project with the Ruby Tier and will become an active part of the Deck…
- Upcoming map for Deck RX! - 19 November 2021
Today we officially announce the second map of Deck RX, The Wastesands (Temporary name) The Wastesands will be the second map available for the Deck RX demo and backers who have Open Dev Access as a reward in their pledge tiers (Gold and above) will be able to ride this map soon. Here you have an early render of the map’s background as a 3D concept. The Wastesands is a desertic industrial area far away from the solar system, desolated by high temperatures and full of tunnels through which the race will take place. These tunnels will be the special mechanic of this second map (just as the mines will be in Deaf City after the release of Oraklos). In these tunnels you will have no vision of your pilot or surroundings. Just like you, the enemies will also lose their sight... all except one, the special enemy for The Wastesands (which is in development) that will anchor itself to the tunnel…
- Introducing a new enemy for Deck RX! - 15 November 2021
Hi guys! I'm here to talk about a new enemy we are introducing into Deck RX! Oraklos are a coven of techno-priestesses who have been modified and trained since birth at the Temple-Labs, making them able to break the barriers of the mind and take their vision beyond what any human can reach, across the vastness of space-time. They are expert mind-readers, often employed by Deaf City’s government. Since the Cult of the True Way is pursuing immortality, they have decided to yield some of their best agents to this enterprise by enrolling them in the Deck Race. Like most other enemies, Oraklos come in 3 different tiers of strength, depending on how late in the game you encounter them. With Oraklos, we introduce a world-specific enemy to Deaf City. As we mentioned in the Kickstarter, each stage will have both special tiles and hazards, and its own special enemy. Oraklos will drive aggressivel…
