• The Fabulous Fear Machine - Now Available on Mac - 20 November 2023

  Just in time for the Steam Autumn Sale, pulp horror strategy comes to Mac computers with The Fabulous Fear Machine! The Fabulous Fear Machine offers a globe-trotting single player campaign for fans of narrative and strategy games alike. Each of three story chapters focuses on a new Master of the Machine: from a scientist’s conquest of the pharmaceutical market in Eurasia, to a small-town insurance salesman’s fumbling foray into local politics, to a hell-raising tale of televangelism in the Americas.

  We've been continuing to work on the game in order to make it even more enjoyable, and we've implemented a list of fixes and improvements in the last update: There is no missing text in any language now. We have enhanced the CONTINUE button, which sometimes worked in unexpected ways. We changed the encoding of the cutscenes, so now they should work smoothly on every version of the Steam Deck (external mouse and keyboard are recommended!). A new "Legends viewer" feature has been added to the Album. Small bugs were fixed Thank you very much for your support. We're continuing to work on the game, and we've implemented a list of minor fixes and significant improvements in the latest update: We have enhanced the CONTINUE button, which now displays information about the game that is to be continued We resolved a bug in the Essences locator that was not behaving as expected after loading a game Some adjustments have been made to the HUD since certain parts of it were making it challenging to interact with specific gameplay elements We've addressed glitches that were affecting certain graphic resolutions We've reviewed and made some minor adjustments to a few maps We are aware of ongoing issues and fixes that still need attention.   Hello, everyone! We're excited to share that Community Items (like Steam Trading Cards) are now live for The Fabulous Fear Machine. We've been working on the game since its launch, and we've got a list of minor fixes and significant improvements in the latest update: We fixed a bug that was affecting games in which a region was in a "Barren Land" state We addressed glitches affecting very wide graphic resolutions We corrected errors in the object drag system for less common resolutions We adjusted some texts We fixed various bugs We are aware of ongoing issues and fixes that still need to be addressed. • The Fabulous Fear Machine Launches October 4th - 29 September 2023

  After many years, gaining power in the shadows, The Fabulous Fear Machine will reveal itself to the world on October 4th at 12pm Eastern / 18:00 CEST. The Fabulous Fear Machine offers a globe-trotting single player campaign for fans of narrative and strategy games alike. Each of three story chapters focuses on a new Master of the Machine: from a scientist’s conquest of the pharmaceutical market in Eurasia, to a small-town insurance salesman’s fumbling foray into local politics, to a hell-raising tale of televangelism in the Americas. The game's demo will remain available this weekend and as a part of a special narrative game festival starting on Monday, so this is your last chance to check it out before the game's release on Wednesday.

• The Fabulous Fear Machine at IndieCade and Indie X! - 2 November 2022

  IndieCade and Indie X are international events showcasing the future of indie games; The Fabulous Fear Machine is a nominee for Best Visual Art at IndieCade 2022. The Fabulous Fear Machine's demo will be available for anyone to download during these events, from November 3-13. You’ve just become the newest Master of the Machine, and now you must generate fear and expand your influence by playing Legend cards: those scary stories, urban myths, and conspiracy theories that lurk in the dark corners of the mind. To clear a path for your Legends to grow, you’ll dispatch your Agents to new locations on the map, harvest and manage resources, decide how to deal with events in the simulation, and spy on the operations of your foes.
