A new phase of the Playtest opens up! Another round of playtest invites has been sent, so please check if you received an email notification from Steam or if "Forgery Craft Playtest" suddenly appeared in your Steam library. The craziest news though, is that all the active playtesters can now invite their friends to join! There are limits you have to keep in mind, though - you can invite up to 3 of your friends, and you can only invite players who have been Steam friends with you for at least 30 days. In order to invite your friend, you'll need to go to "Forgery Craft Playtest" in your Steam Library, and under the "Play" button, you'll find a little box that shows you how many invites you have left. Click on that and point to your desired friend! Your friend will now get a Steam notification they'll have to accept. The more the merrier! Let's see how many new forgers we can get on board!…

👋 Hello, fellow Forgers! ​In the recent-ish playtest, Amelia reached Kraków, where her adventure is about to truly begin. The city itself is near and dear to our hearts, as the team is based here. However, with its rich artistic background, it also makes a perfect setting for a story about a young, aspiring artist. One of the districts she’ll visit is centered around the intersection of Basztowa and Długa streets, with a characteristic building known as The Globe House at its heart. Since one of our goals in Forgery Craft is to recreate the real-life crafting experience with our mechanics, the only fair choice is to apply a similar approach to creating the game world. We wanted to build nice to look at, easy to navigate, and (mostly) historically accurate locations. To achieve that, we blend the looks of the crossing today with its version found in archive pictures. The building itself…

Did you know that in 1794, a certain cunning forger cut off a piece of an authentic Elizabethan or Jacobean parchment deed and then signed it with William Shakespeare’s signature, making it a valuable piece for collectors? This is just one incident in the case of a 'Shakespeare cache’—a treasure trove filled with the lost works and documents of the greatest dramatist himself. It was allegedly found by a British writer (and lpater a famous forger of Shakespeare's works), William Henry Ireland. Were they authentic? Of course not. That's why we are telling you about them!
