Harvesting & Crafting: Playtest 2 is LIVE!The first server is up, client deployed, the gates are open. This is the biggest jump forward the game had so far. Besides the new harvesting and crafting systems & contents, there is a lot more to explore!The map is open!I removed any barriers and you are free to roam Anotork, explore all the new locations in various states of progress, find resources, treasures and death :) Harvesting & CraftingLithomancy, Floramancy, Dendrology and Aetherbinding have been added. With over 320 new items & recipes. 1 - 100Theoretically, you can now fight and craft your way to max level with new equipment and consumables. Bosses & ElitesQuite a few new enemies have been added. Hey people!The next playtest will launch on February 28, 2026.Just like the first playtest, the client will be available for download via the Forum at 20:00 UTC.For this phase, I focused heavily on the core harvesting, itemization, and crafting loops.I implemented the progression for Aetherbinding, Dendrology, Floramancy, and Lithomancy. You will need to upgrade your tools to progress.The new master progression table is also in. This dictates how XP scales gold drops and monster stats from Level 1 to 100. The scaling, like everything, is still WIP.The tutorial loop in Fawe is implemented, balance is early WIP.The economy is now driven by the new progression loop. Its finally happening: the first playtest for Therais Book is coming up in just over two weeks, from 06.06.2025 to 09.06.2025! Most of the playtest will take place in the starting village Fawe. The focus will be on a tutorial-style questline in a small part of the map, so everyone can jump in, explore, and help me see how things hold up under real conditions. This will be a full test of the current build, running on actual server infrastructure, with as many of you as possible. I really want to see what happens with real players, real connections, and real chaos. Some important notes: Some features are still missing (logically, its not all there yet, its an alpha). Life, development challenges, and shifting priorities kept me from sharing as much as I wanted to, but the project has never been abandoned. A lot has changed since then. - News on Therais Book - 5 April 2024
I made a post explaining the changes and improvements here. Development on the game has been going on in the background and we will soon publish the first release of the new reboot alpha cycle with updates every 6-8 weeks. Very soon the new roadmap will be available at our website, and progress will be posted to the forum. The "nightly" launcher is still being worked on and should launch soon after the new alpha cycle begins.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for testing the game and for all the usable feedback! But I also want to clarify that Therais Book is not yet fully released as some seem to think. This game is still in early development and only playable because of early access. If you're not ok with your character being reset sooner or later and experiencing bugs and maybe even crashes, early access is not for you! On this Sunday, 04.04.2021 I will shut the server down and upload the 0.0.12a update. This might take a few hours. If everything goes right there will be a second server to play on, hosted in Dallas. I will also upgrade the current server in Germany for a little better performance and lower ping. I will post a complete changelog once the update goes live.
