Our game was always supposed to provide an experience that rewards exploration and doesn’t babysit the player, letting them discover everything on their own. We do, however, realize that our approach to this might’ve been a little too hardcore, and as such, we will ease up a bit. You received a quest, managed to get the required items, but don’t remember where the NPC was? Now you can simply consult your map. Struggling to find a location where you can obtain quest items? Is the quest description not enough? Or are you trying to find a specific location? Open your map and look for yellow circles! Hello witches, We have some news for you about an upcoming patch for The Witch of Fern Island. Here’s what you can expect for an update that’s coming earlier than you think: Optimization. We realize that our game has rather high system requirements, and we’re doing our best to remedy that, at least a bit. As such, expect optimization changes that should make the game run more smoothly on less powerful machines, and most importantly - on Steam Deck! Still, remember that if your system specs go too much beyond what we consider the minimum, worse performance is unavoidable. Hello witches, Today’s update brings a bunch of bugfixes. But first, a message from our tech team: Changing a language (both on Steam Deck and PC) in-game can cause the graphics to become distorted. This action causes some hardware configuration to run out of memory, while the game is reloading everything to adjust to this change. To fix this, simply restart the game after changing the language.
