• Shooter-mode - 25 September 2023

  The new update features the addition of the new Shooter-mode, which let's you play the entire game in a more traditional shootemup way! It retains Hijack Overdrive's iconic and unique hijacking mechanic, but replaces the fleet-managing aspect with a more direct shooter approach. The original mode is renamed to Fleet-mode and will ofcourse remain the default game-mode. • SHMUP Fest Sale: 35% Off - 24 September 2023

  In celebration of the new Shooter-mode, Hijack Overdrive will be 35% off during the SHMUP Fest. The sale starts September 25, and lasts until October 2 (10am Pacific Time). It's the perfect time to start playing Hijack Overdrive in either Shooter or Fleet-mode! The new Shooter-mode becomes available at the start of the fest, in both the demo and the full game.
