• DevLog #4 - Story Continues - 15 July 2021

  Hello there, I'm Murat and I'm here to tell you updates. Prologue Part is finished and we almost finished first part of the story. Soon we will publish new screenshots and videos from the game. • DevLog #3 - Ready for Demo - 15 June 2021

  Hello there again, I'm Murat, creator and developer of the game. Last month was tough. But we are hanging there. There was a lot of problems that we need to solve. But finally we did. Latest Updates; - All foot gear abilities are implemented. Dash, Stomp, Levitate, Range Attacks. - 3 types of enemies and their AI are added - I composed some basic Menu and Background music for game. (They are not bad but ok I guess) - Sounds effects are added (This part is really hard, there was a second I almost decided that I will do them with my mouth) - Main Menu and In-game Menu is working well. - Save system is added. There are some imperfections but nothing big. - Started to build a mini map system. A metroidvanian without a map cannot exist. - Many many minor bugs are fixed. Thanks for your support. Firstly, we would like to start with the idea and baby steps of Dipod: The Foot Legacy. From the mouth of our story writer; As a fan of world literature, I always interested in mythologies and mythological stories. When I first looked at the main idea of the game, Monopods appeared in my mind. They are mythological creatures with the shape of a foot. Then, Dipod is created because of the relatıonshıp with feet. On the other hand, I took Sisyphus and his struggle as an example for Dipod and her struggle against the Gods. Just like Sisyphus, Dipod challenges with lots of curses and she tries to reach her aim in this painful journey.
