• A Christmas Gift - 21 December 2021

  Hello Lords and Ladies! It's been a while since we've posted one of these updates, but not without good reason! I've been hard at work trying to support our fledgling company, and unfortunately much of my time has been taken away from development. However, I feel that the game is now in an at least acceptable position for an initial release of the manual battle concept, and just in time for the Christmas season! What's more Christmas-y than the gift of war crimes D: You can now play a test scenario for manual battles from the game's title menu. There are no goals currently set, but there's a fairly large battlefield to explore, and three lord types to play as. Additionally, there are nine soldier types you can spawn for either yours or the opposing side, and currently the game seems to hold steady even up to a hundred active combatants at a time! • Devlog 2: Champions and Crowdfunding - 21 August 2021

  Hello Lords and Ladies! It's been just under a month since Lords of the Darkreign released into Early Access, and it's time to check in with our progress! Since the last devlog, We've created most of the first Manual Battle location, implemented a Lord and player controller, and even managed to bring a bit of magic to the game. We've also begun setting up Crowdfunding to boost future development, which you will also (hopefully) enjoy. Let's get Started! Tower Fields - Quick Battle Arena Green boi Returneth! Tower Fields is the name of our first Manual Battle location, where Quick Battles will be arranged. The arena features a large valley separating the two camps, and a tower in the center as a landmark to guide the battle. • Devlog 1: Racial Base Models - 30 July 2021

  Hello Lords and Ladies! It's been just over a week since Lords of the Darkreign released into Early Access, and we have already finished the racial base models necessary for the first large update to the game. These will be used as the starting point for each individual lord and soldier, with the specific units being differentiated by armor, adornments, or other visual indicators. The material-based approach we used when designing these models should also allow faction colors to be represented visibly be each individual unit, allowing you to pick out friends and foes on the battlefield. For many of you, this will be your first time exploring the world of Ciel. Thus, in this Devlog, we will be showing off some animation for each race/sex base model, while explaining some of the lore behind each race of Ciel, including how they are involved in the Darkreign Wars. • Lords of the Darkreign is Live! - 21 July 2021

  Hello Lords and Ladies! Today, Lords of the Darkreign released on Steam. We are glad the game will finally be able to get in your hands, and hope you enjoy it! Of course, being an Early Access title, we hope you will report any bugs you might come across to our support email ([email protected]), or to the Steam Community forums. • Lords of the Darkreign Early Access Release! - 1 July 2021

  Hello Lords and Ladies! Lords of the Darkreign is currently planned to release on July 21st. We are excited to get the game into your hands, but please keep in mind that we are a new, small developer, and thus bugs may have circumvented our testing. If you run into one such bug during gameplay, please either report it under the game discussions, or email details about it to us at [email protected]. Please provide as much information as you can about the issue so we can recreate it on our end, and hopefully get it fixed. Lords of the Darkreign is planned to be sold for $4.99 US at the time of this release, with a 10% discount running for the first week afterwards. We feel this is a fair price for the admittedly limited scope of the game at this point, and one that will likely increase as we add more features.
