Yo! A small hotfix for some issues is rolling out right now! Please see below: - Versus CPU difficulty can now be properly adjusted - The "Rally" series of achievements now correctly track the right progression stat - Engine audio and driver voice clips have had their gain increased to better balance audio - Win/Lose rival cutscenes now play correctly on the overworld map, accordingly - Steam screenshots are now working correctly - Japanese language text now wraps properly in cutscenes We'll have more news on the next patch as soon as possible. - Victory Heat Rally looks like an electrifying retro arcade racer, and it's releasing this winter - 7 August 2024
There seems to be a wave of retro racers around recently, and each one seems to pick a particular target to shoot with its nostalgia gun, whether Wipeout or Lotus or Micro Machines or whatever else. Maybe I'm forgetting some classic arcade racer, but Victory Heat Rally feels less laser targeted and more a modern take on the spirit of the genre.
