Hello everyone! After reviewing the Next Fest Feedback, we wanted to release an update to the demo and make a few announcements. Pricing We are happy to announce that we have completed development of all of the maps and are doing final testing and polish. With this, we want to announce that the game is releasing May 25th for a price of $12. We will be releasing the final trailer for the game which will show off all of the maps on May 15th, and at that time the free demo will no longer be available for new players. - Dinner Menu Patch - 12 February 2023
Following our recent update, we received some reports of an issue affecting a few groups playing the demo not being able to solve the dinner menu puzzle. After investigating, we were able to identify and resolve the issue, and we think this is likely related to an issue that was affecting some groups with the card game puzzle that we had previously been unable to replicate. We're sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused some players, but we definitely appreciate everyone who reached out letting us know of the problem. Thanks for playing, and we hope everyone enjoys the demo and looks forward to the release in May!
- February Patch Notes - 12 February 2023
Hello everyone! First of all, we would like to thank everyone for the immense amount of feedback that you all have been sending in. We’ve been reviewing the comments and wanted to release a small update to the demo to hopefully address at least some of the common concerns. Patch Notes Motion Sickness & Brightness Updates Two common complaints we received were regarding people having motion sickness and issues with the brightness of the game. We made a few adjustments to help with this: The default FOV is now 95 instead of 90. If needed, you should be able to further tweak the FOV in the graphics settings (Graphics → FOV). Flashing effects for objects has been toned down to not be as bright and as fast. We will be looking into changing the effect for interactable objects in the future to get rid of the flashing effect entirely. We have added options to change your walk and run speeds in…

Steam Next Fest Update Hello everyone! To prepare for the Steam Next Fest, we have updated the demo. Patch Notes End Game Poses When the first player enters the end game room, everyone will be sent to a new end game pose screen where everyone can pick a pose so that everyone can take screenshots to show off that they beat the map. We hope you all have fun with this feature! Full Controller Support There is now an in game keyboard for entering in player names and game codes to make the process easier for people who are using a controller. Starting at the main menu, you should be able to fully navigate the menus, host/join a game, and play with only using a controller. If you run into any problems with using a controller, please let us know. Roadmap to Release - May 25th, 2023! We’re proud to announce that we’re targeting May 25th, 2023 as the release date for Puzzle Compound! We’re worki…

- Visual Update - 22 July 2022
Cel-shading We recently updated the visual style of Puzzle Compound. Instead of a darker gloomier look we wanted something brighter, so we switched the game to have a cel-shaded look. This helps brighten up the game and allows for some of the colors to really pop when seeing them. This also makes the game feel more like a relaxing experience that can be enjoyed with friends, which was the original idea we had. Here’s a clip of what the new style looks like. Social Media In an effort to try to gain at least 1000 wishlists by the time we release, we hope to start releasing more content on our YouTube channel and Twitter account to show off puzzles, new features, and how we developed parts of the game. If you’re interested in getting a sneak peak of some of the things we’re working on, we recommend you give our YouTube channel or Twitter account a follow! YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c…

Hello everyone! Today we have released an update to Puzzle Compound introducing some new features as well re-enabling voice chat with a new system. Patch Notes UI Updates We have updated the way we display interacting and dropping objects. Now when you look at an object it will popup interact text around it to inform you what interacting with it does and what button to press to interact with it. Note text now appears at the bottom of the screen and will resize to fill the content as needed. Notifications will appear in the top right, whenever they are displayed. Ping System Whenever you have something important you want to remember like a puzzle’s location you can now use our ping system. Pressing the ping button with place a marker on the map at that location. When looking away…
- Voice Chat Currently Unavailable - 26 April 2022
Due to an issue in our current voice chat solution, we have removed it from the current demo and are starting to look into alternatives. Currently we don't know when we will have a fix, but we will release an update once we have come up with a solution. Until then, we recommend using Discord or some other voice chat.
- Quarterly Update Spring 2022 - 31 March 2022
Hello everyone! Welcome to the first of our quarterly updates for Puzzle Compound. Currently we are aiming to release the full game with five maps sometime Spring 2023. Between working on the new maps, our goal is to add various quality of life and polish updates which will be added to the demo once every quarter, starting with today! Let’s get on to what changes we’ve made as of this update. Patch Notes Map Update We have redesigned the look of the mansion map. While the puzzles and overall layout remain the same, the walls and floors have better coloring and textures and there is actual lighting throughout the map. This was done in order to closer match the quality of the other maps we’ve been working on. Hint System The hint system has been completely overhauled. Now hints will be available to you regardless of your proximity to the puzzle, and each puzzle has a series of hints which…
