AudioSpace 7.2 has arrived, celebrating the spring by joining the Steam Spring Sale! 🌸 The highlight of this release is a versatile arpeggiator for the synth. Each step can contain up to 8 notes (as a chord), with up to 16 steps per sequence. There are controls for groove, velocity dynamics, octave range, note length, repeat logic, and sequence ordering. The velocity of each step can also be adjusted individually. There's a bunch of new synth presets too, including some arp patterns. They now provide a solid set of sounds to explore and experiment with. Just in time for 🎁Christmas✨, presenting AudioSpace 7.1: not only a visualizer, but now also a software synthesizer. Play your favorite tunes and see them visualized right away! The synth sports 4 primary oscillators and 8 LFOs with a good variety of assignment options. Oscillators supports the usual waveforms & wavetables, several physical instrument models, FM synthesis, samples, and also user-defined math functions for generating audio. Each has their own envelope and set of (chainable) filters. Effects include unison/detune, bit crushing, vocoding/morphing (form input audio too), saturation, phaser, chorus/flanger, delay, and reverb. There's a small set of sound presets available, more will come with future updates. Thus, it's the perfect time for you to make some killer sounds and share them! AudioSpace 7.0 has been released, with a whole lot of new shaders (a head-nodding cat included 🐱) and the possibility to stack multiple shaders as an effect chain. Video and text are now available in shaders as well, both through shader file comments and the new media player / automation scripts menu intergration. All new features are demonstrated with the included shaders. Rest of the 2024 development work of AudioSpace is now packaged 🎁 and released for your enjoyment, together with a demo reel video 🎞️ highlighting some of the best bits. Most significant new feature is the possibility to add text on top of the visualizations (for titles, lyrics, credits and so on). Custom fonts are supported, both .ttf and .oft files. Level up the ambience and display beautiful visualizations for your playlists - the bigger the screen 📺 the better! With the added texture support for shaders, AudioSpace is now not only a visualizer and a media player, but also a full-blown HLSL shader toy with Unreal Engine 5 visual fidelity (e.g. great blooms and reflections), comprehensive set of real-time audio data easily available, and runtime compilation just by re-selecting the shader in the menu. You won't find this anywhere else, and by itself the feature has indeed all the makings of becoming a separate application at some point. The long anticipated 🌞summer🌞 release of AudioSpace is finally here, and not a day too soon as tomorrow it's already September. But the wait was worth it: now you can choose to enjoy AudioSpace as a windowed application with a normal set of title bar controls. Its highlight is automatic viewpoints: there's no longer need to move around to find the best camera angle. For those who prefer the freedom of movement of the earlier versions, fear not: "AudioSpace VR" provides now this, as well as the full VR experience when your headset is detected or your OpenXR Runtime (such as SteamVR) is running, Also new are the three big features of this release to level things up: User defined shaders - that is, your own visualizations! Now it's here: AudioSpace that is not only a visualizer but also a media player! This major update includes a good volume of other delights as well, such as new visualizations on the back wall, the VU meter, and vectorscope v2 with multiband skills. See the full list at the end of this post to get properly excited. ✨ Installation typically requires Windows restart due to full Explorer integration of the media player. Steam doesn't warn users about that, so check that reboot is OK before installing. As always, this update is free for current owners of AudioSpace. - AudioSpace 5.0 shaping up - 10 August 2023
Here's a little teaser to get you moderately hyped: soon you'll be able to witness the power of AudioSpace as a fully operational media player and even more capable audio visualizer than it is today. Aim is to support several audio and video formats as well as playlists and online audio streams. As always, update will be free for all current owners of AudioSpace. Release will happen within a month or so if all goes well. Meanwhile, enjoy the summer and remember to look up at the stars every now and then!

Here are the highlights of this major release: a brand new visualization mode "trinity flux"; see it in action here level meter: improved looks, better performance and accuracy (down to -120 dB) added recording functionality for input & output sources, multichannel included audio source and recording controls are now all part of the new in-app console much improved audio device and format detection & error handling moved most of the audio processing chain into a separate thread expanded in-app tutorial and made it more tolerant to various scenarios many other visual, usability, performance and stability improvements If you have not experimented with the parameter sliders before, now is a good time: there are some radical param combinations to be found for trinity flux. - Upcoming release, new price - 30 September 2022
Just to give you a heads-up: a major update for AudioSpace is on its way! It will include a new visualization mode as well as a certain highly requested feature, together with some smaller fixes and improvements. No exact release date yet, but most likely it will happen before mid-October. With this release, price of AudioSpace will also be updated to reflect the added value of all the new visualization modes, configuration options and other features since the launch. As all updates are free for the existing owners of AudioSpace, now would be an excellent time to buy it if you have been considering to do so! ⏳😉
