• Removal of Amidst The Darkness from Steam - 24 October 2022

  Notice to all players:- We have taken the decision to remove Amidst The Darkness from the store effective immediately. Though this project was not an Early Access title and was marketed as a short playable concept of a psychological horror, the original idea was to expand on the idea through chapters and free updates. Unfortunately, development has not continued as originally planned and it has instead been agreed that the project is to be removed from commercial sale and taken over by a local team as a hobby and education project with no further commercial release. Secondary to the above was that Amidst The Darkness does not fit in with our typical development style, nor catalog - and for this reason, it was felt that we could not expand on the concept as we intended and perhaps as the concept deserved.   Update Notes for 6th June 2022 - approximately 5.1GB Engine: Upgrade from Unreal Engine 4.27.2 to Unreal Engine 5.0.2. Removal of Steam Achievements (temporarily). AI: AI will no longer block player's path. AI will now only unlock certain doors. General AI optimisation. General/Bug Fix Added hint to end game ladder. End Game Ladder no longer requires a jump to mount. General optimisation of assets. Prop clear-up.
