Meet depressing caterpillars along with other surreal characters. Restart the grotesque tale and choose a different path through the story, eating your way to three different endings. • 3 years anniversary - 16 September 2024

  Hey everyone! It's already been almost 3 years. Time flies! We made the game thinking it could grow on you over time. I didn't expect it to grow on me. When we first released it, we thought a lot about what we could have done better. Now, when I think about The Repairing Mantis, I think more about the fact it presents something unique and I’ve come to really like it, even if it's not perfect. I hope the game grows on you too! I can't wait to release our next game The Hungry Fly which takes place in the same universe. See you soon!

• Update 1.07 - 13 January 2023

  Here's a small update for The Repairing Mantis. Someone wrote to us with a detailed report of a game-breaking bug we've never seen before! It's always nice when people send those bug reports. It helps us a lot. So we fixed that, and while working on the menus for The Hungry Fly we found and fixed a bug that was present in both games. Bug fixes: -Giving a moth to the squirrel while he was jumping removed the dialogue to continue the story -Clicking on a button in the menu while it was transitioning to another window, restarted the animation, creating an infinite loop if you continued spamming it. (It was kind of fun, to be honest, but still a bug. 😉 )

• One year anniversary! - 16 September 2022

  Hey everyone! It's been a year since The Repairing Mantis has come out. We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has played the game! It is one of the best feelings in the world to read your comments, your reviews and your thoughts about the game. Seeing you all think about the meaning of the game, seeing how it made you feel and sharing that with the world is very special and we couldn't ask for better reception of the game. We’ve just announced our next game, which takes place in a similar universe to The Repairing Mantis. Without spoiling too much, let’s say you might find some references! The Hungry Fly is a narrative horror fairy tale where you embody a fly, discover a grotesque and surreal rich story, make impactful decisions, and eat rotten corpses. Get on a disturbing journey to eat a mysterious creature living in a bath, and realize that maybe in your life, you eat rotten corpses too.   We are so excited about this update. iwanPlays (https://www.youtube.com/user/iwanPlays) translated our game into German. It was really nice working with him. For all our German speakers, we hope this will let you enjoy the game in a new way! -Added a German translation for the game made by iwanPlays -Added iwanPlays to the credits of the game -Added “Visual effects” option in the Settings menu. Bug fixes: -When changing languages and reverting back to the previous language, the menu didn’t change back. -Graphic optimisation -“Visual effects” option in the Settings menu allows to tone down a visual effect that affects visibility -Debug a rare bug where a dialog choice would disappear when you get close to a creature

  Various bug fixes -Changing the resolution from a resolution larger than 16:9 to a resolution of 16:9 added vertical black bars. -Changing resolution, quitting the settings menu and going back in would not show the new resolution in the menu. -Upon reloading the main menu, when changing the language, it wouldn't change it until you start the game. -Possibility for a tutorial text to not go away until you change worlds depending on the speed of the computer.
