- BIG news from 34BigThings! - 23 June 2026
ATTENTION ALL DRIVERS, This is the third time 34BigThings is being born. The first time is a story we’ve talked about extensively in the past, possibly because it’s been 13 years. The second time was when 34BigThings was acquired by the Embracer Group in November 2020. We didn't feel the need to communicate much on the topic at the time; after all, we thought, "This is a great chance to just focus on making games."If you’ve followed the gamedev ecosystem over the last six years, the next part won't surprise you. We were put under the guidance of Saber Interactive and were asked to scale up, to absorb more and bigger productions. Then, the business of making games became risky and costly. Through it all, we managed to stay afloat without slashing our workforce. Saber left. Embracer split. Natural spells of radio silence, shifting priorities, and changing contact points followed. Through…

- Фарш комом: Обзор Carmageddon: Rogue Shift - 29 March 2026
Попытки возрождения многих классических серий обречены на провал, словно это какое-то проклятие. Это касается как прародителя хорроров Alone in the Dark , так и недавней Carmageddon: Rogue Shift . На бумаге разработчики обещают обновить концепцию кровавых гонок, но на практике все уперлось в посредственную реализацию.

Hello again! We’re back today with some shiny new features for Rogue Shift. Console players, all of this as well as console-specific crash fixes are coming as soon as each platform-specific version is approved. Stay tuned to our socials, as we’ll announce when each build has been approved and is rolling out to players. Now let’s jump in. New Free Vehicle: GrossoAs a token of our gratitude for clearing out 50 million Wasted, we stole this sweet AWD ride from the Enforcers. The Grosso’s innate perk is Lock Jammer, which gives the player a longer immunity window to Weapon Lock after evading with a Boost or a Sidebash. To unlock the new car, simply update the game and the Grosso should already be added to your garage. Bonnet CamNow you can really stare into the dead eyes of the Wasted as you run them over! To change your camera, press ‘C’ on keyboard or up on the d-pad for consoles. Improve…

How To Test For those that already know how to join a beta branch, please join the NEW_WHEELS_NEW_ME branch using the code iwanttofiddle. Roadmap Happy Release Day! Let’s dive right into this. Our Day 0 Patch is already out and if you’d like you can jump straight to the Day 0 Patch Notes. In terms of timing, we’re aiming for Patch 1 to release roughly 30 days from now, and Patch 2 roughly 60 days from now. As we get closer to those dates, we’ll let players know more concrete dates. Fix-It-Tony First Patch (Patch 1) We'll act on the most urgent feedback, in case something is broken that we didn't intercept prior to launch and wasn’t included in our Day 0 Patch. Bonnet Cam (Patch 1) Because no vehicle-based game is complete without one. We’re aiming to include the Bonnet Cam with Patch 1. We’ll let you know if this changes. Challenge Mode (Patch 2) We fully expect some players to go through the roguelite loop, conquer the Campaign and master every vehicle in the game faster than others. And that those players are going to b…
- Choose Your Lane - Select a Survival Style - 19 January 2026
Greetings, drivers! We're 34BigThings, the team behind Redout and now the revival of Carmageddon. Our armageddon involves WW3, cellular degeneration, and, of course, evil corporations. Your chances of survival are already slim, but you may make it to the spaceport if you learn the new ways of the road. Today we’ll break down the cars and perks for three distinct playstyles. Before we break down the gear, let’s go over how it is acquired. Black Market and Shop StopsNew abilities and weapons are obtained at random from “shop stops” on your journey across the Wasteland. They appear as golden symbols on the event map. Cars and permanent unlocks are obtained from the Black Market menu at the start of a run. Black Market: Cars, Perks, and Permanent Upgrades are found in the Black Market. After you wreck or complete a run, you spend your awarded beatcoins here. Workshop: All perks you unlock f…
- Carmageddon: Rogue Shift Releasing February 6, 2026 - 14 January 2026
Carmageddon: Rogue Shift is a spinoff of the mainline franchise and the result of a development process that started in 2021, just after the COVID pandemic rocked the world. In these 4 years of passionate development, we tackled the challenge with a mix of respect and boldness, with the idea of creating something refreshing that would be appealing to old and modern games alike, rooted in what we know we do best: fast-moving objects and jaw-dropping gameplay moments. The Carmageddon formula has been remixed by blending a roguelite campaign, a smooth but challenging arcade driving model, and a faster, more focused, more spectacular, and more unforgiving rhythm to the action. From the collision carnage you know to the explosive excitement you’ll come to love, Rogue Shift will delight those with a taste for mayhem. We can’t wait for you to get your hands on the game in a few short weeks!
- Welcome to the Chop Shop - Official First Look at Cars and Weapons - 17 December 2025
Greetings, racers! We're 34BigThings, the team behind Redout and now the revival of Carmageddon. Let's dive into a few of the weapons and cars you can choose from when our Carmageddon spinoff, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift, launches in early 2026. Eagle GTThe Eagle GT is an all-rounder muscle car that doesn’t feel overwhelming. Its best stat is handling, but don't underestimate it! A forgiving front-wheel drive with solid suspension and decent torque means the car won't fight you on the road. Combined with above-average mass and armor, this car is a strong choice for melee builds, even compared to later vehicles. Your starting weapon is the ol' reliable Machine Gun. It is effective against both metal and infected flesh, though you'll need to close the distance to manage the range dropoff. The 'Boost Refill' perk lets you start each race with a boost bottle and refunds one if you reset. The E…
