• A hotfix addressing a Unity security vulnerability has just released. - 3 October 2025

  Hello everyone! Just posting a quick update to let you know that I've patched the Windows and MacOS versions of Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered to fix the recently discovered Unity security vulnerability. Please update the game as soon as you can! The Linux version has not been updated as Unity has not provided a patcher for Linux builds as they have determined that the vulnerability does not add additional risk to Linux users. • New ANGRY Baldi plushie campaign from Makeship is live now! - 23 March 2024

  The new ANGRY Baldi plushie campaign from Makeship is LIVE NOW! It will only be available to purchase until April 12, so don't wait too long! Every purchase will also include a Steam code for Baldi's Basics Plus! This is a great way to get the game if you haven't yet. If you do already have the game, you can share the code with a friend! I'm super happy with how this new plushie turned out. It even includes a detachable ruler accessory Baldi can hold! You can check it out here. If at least 200 units are sold, the campaign will be successful and the plushie will be produced shortly after! If not, all orders will be refunded, so there's no risk in placing an order early. Steam codes will be sent out once the campaign ends.

• Baldi's Basics Plus just got a huge update, and is 40% off! - 2 March 2024

  Baldi's Basics Plus version 0.4 released earlier this week, marking the first major update in quite a while! This is just the beginning though, as the plan is to release new major updates approximately every two months for the foreseeable future. This update brought with it a brand new character, Dr. Reflex! If he finds you, he'll try to make you take a special reflex test. Don't leave before it's finished or else he'll hunt you down with a giant percussion hammer! The update also includes sound propagation, which makes it so sounds travels around walls instead of through them, occlusion culling, which improves performance, and many more changes to make for a better gameplay experience and a smoother development pipeline.   Baldi's Basics turned five years old a week ago! To celebrate, I'm happy to announce that I have teamed up with Makeship to create a new Baldi plushie! Click here to check it out! • Version 1.1 is now available! - 29 October 2022

  ​First off, I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who's played the game! The launch was amazing, the game even made it to the #4 spot on Steam's new and trending tab! The positive reviews mean a lot too, I'm glad so many people have enjoyed the game so much! This update is the only major update I have planned, but it brings a cool new feature, free run! Free run is now grouped with the fun settings, and if you enable it you'll be able to explore the school without Baldi being around. You can't unlock anything in free run of course, but it might be a handy way to help you plan out a few strategies! • Version 1.0.2 is now available! - 22 October 2022

  1.0.2 changelog Hey everyone! I've got another handful of bug fixes for Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered! Actually removed all mention of the quarter in Party style. Fixed mirror mode permanently mirroring subtitles each time it was started. Added more missing subtitles. Fixed being able to get whirlpooled into the blocked off corner of one of the faculty rooms. Fixed being able to click the exit button multiple times and queue up multiple "Thanks for playing!" clips before the game would quit. Also fixed being able to cancel that audio by clicking play, which broke the button. Made more tweaks to secret things. Some secret things now require you to find other secret things first. Unless something major comes up, this will probably be the last patch until the end of next week. Until then I'll keep fixing bugs and all those fixes will be in that update. Have fun!

• First patch! Version 1.0.1 is now available! - 22 October 2022

  Thanks to everyone who has played the game today, I hope y'all are having a blast! I've gone ahead and whipped up a quick patch to fix some of the bugs you've reported. Here's the changelog for this update: Removed captions for Button and lever sounds (Previously they were broken, but they aren't needed so they have been removed). Added several captions that were accidentally Omitted in the previous version. Fixed a bug that caused 1st Prize to make a slam Noise when cutting his wires while moving at a high speed. Made secret tweaks to Undisclosed things to prevent classified confusion. Made it So you can now look backwards while jumping rope. Fixed Baldi mentioning "a shiny Quarter" in party style. Probably some other Small tweaks I'm forgetting. Thanks to everyone who reported bugs! Hopefully there aren't many left to be squashed. Have fun playing!
