• Shadow's Kiss going offline - 25 September 2024

  Friends, fellow creatures of the night, The Shadow’s Kiss project is going into a state of being on indefinite hold. If a new opportunity or publishing deal allows us to revive San Cipriano we shall carry on, but for the last year the monthly server expenses have been far more than the revenue on the project. In the meantime, servers will be going down, and we’ll be removing Shadow’s Kiss from the Steam Store. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way, and everyone who pitched in to try and achieve the vision. It’s hard to put a pause on what represents literally years of hard work and love.   Bug Fixes, Small Features, Tuning We did a pass on several quests, as well as a lot of small fixes to improve polish and quality of life. Ongoing efforts to improve performance on Wrong Side of the Tracks (one of the largest zones) were successful, with a jump from 9 FPS to 30 FPS or better in the busiest part of the zone. SKS-306 Adversaries in ambushes and random encounters should now despawn properly when the encounter is over. SKS-302 – Changing zones now preserves combat stance SKS-299 Industrial Graveyard zone chests no longer have pistols and inspirations in them SKS-297 – Fixed bug where player wouldn’t seem to disappear after leaving zone. This uncovered a more major bug with notification on objects leaving zones. SKS-298 Players now agro into combat stance as soon as hostility begins SKS-286 Reanimated zombies should come in as offset + player level + inspiration quality. This…

  Client Fixes Fixed: Blood Spurt on feeding ends up rotating wonky Fixed: Remove janky NPC idles. Notes: We have a full NPC emote and idle pass planned. Fixed: Power GUI is too low in combat and can’t be seen at certain resolutions Fixed: Prevent movement in cutscenes Fixed: Raise Dead not working. Notes: A flag was set incorrectly that prevented it from appearing as an option. It works now, but you’ll still have to visit the Cathedral of Eternal Veneration (Grand River Cemetery West) or the Cemetery Lair to train the Necromancy inspirations.
