- In-Shock Update (v1.2.10) - Patch Notes - 13 August 2025
Hey Tribe, Here is the first small patch in over a year. We hope you like the changes as much as we liked working on them! You might wonder why it took us so long, but that is a longer story for another day.Due to our friends at Starbreeze (who were the publisher until recently) we got the publishing rights back a few month ago. We are of course very excited about that and grateful for all their efforts over the last years. Thanks again SBZ! While we can’t promise too much right now, we hope we can ship more of these small patches over the next months, to make use of all the feedback we have gotten from all of you, and to get TTMS closer to the original vision we had for it. - Explorer Update (v 1.1.7) - Patch Notes - 13 June 2024
Tribe Leaders, We seriously consider all the feedback we receive when planning our updates. Much of the feedback we have gotten since launch was about the game being too hard and sometimes even frustrating for new players. At the same time we also see that there are a number of players that have become incredibly good at the game, to the point where they have beaten all Challenge Levels and Achievements, and have Tribes with hundreds of Members and thousands of resources. So we decided that with today’s Explorer Update we should make the game both easier and harder! To achieve these mildly paradoxical goals we have introduced a new game mode, while also adding 3 new Challenge Levels and 15 new Achievements. Explorer Mode A new “Explorer Mode” has now been added as a choice when you start a new run. Explorer Mode offers a more relaxed way of playing The Tribe Must Survive, which is ideal…

Tribe Leaders, Thank you so much for your support and attention to the latest update, we are so excited to see the positive reception of the improvements we are making. As always your feedback is really appreciated in helping us build the best possible version of the game! Here are the fixes we have implemented based on the issues you have flagged: Fixed an issue where players with old save-games might not be able to load into the new version Fixed an issue where Tribe Members could starve even if there is food available. Base on your Feedback we looked into the various edge cases in the Tribe Member behaviour again and found the case where they would go to sleep while having the Starvation Perk active and therefore could starve while not being “in-shock” and while food is available. “The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” H.P. Lovecraft It’s hard to reconcile that H.P. Lovecraft never saw any great popularity or fame during his lifetime when you know the impact his work has made on the modern world. Consider what he’d think to have your name synonymous with a whole genre of entertainment across games, books, and TV. To have inspired enough creators to allow a themed sale on the most prominent games platform in the world, one wonders what he may think. One thing you should not be wondering about is whether or not The Tribe Must Survive will be on sale; it will! With discounts up to 25%, now is a great time to pick it up. The sale runs from April 4th until April 11th. Price Don’t forget that on April 12, the price of the main game will increase from $19.99 to $24.99 and the Supporter Bun…

Predominantly: The chance of death by the “Starving” Perk has been adjusted, so that Tribe Members do not perish as fast The Fear values for when Tribe M…

This means tweaking the Fear values and also making it a Perk so it's easier to find out what is going on when clicking on the affected Tribe Members. We have also adjusted the chance of death by the "Starving" Perk, so tribe members won't perish when the Food Need drops to -3. This should ensure that Tribe Members don't starve anymore while there is Food available, unless they are In-Shock or otherwise blocked from getting to the Granary. Patch Notes General Adjusted chance of death from "Starving" Perk, so Tribe Members cannot perish immediately. Death chance…
