- One swatter, two players and one BUG - 17 September 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 While testing Road Diner in co-op, we came across a rather strange problem with the fly swatter. One player could pick it up while another player was already holding it. The swatter would disappear from the first player’s perspective and appear floating in the other player’s hands, even though the original player was still technically holding it. The culprit was our interaction system. It checks several conditions before allowing an interaction, including global restrictions, the state of the object, and what the individual player is currently holding. However, we were missing one important check: whether the object was already being used by another player. Adding that check stopped other players from picking up an occupied swatter but it also created a new problem… The player who was actually holding the swatter could no longer use it, because the system saw…

- Road Diner - somewhere along the highway - 10 September 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 We talked about the interior in an earlier devlog so let’s talk about the exterior. When designing the exterior and environment of Road Diner, we wanted the building to feel like a real roadside stop - something you could spot from far away while driving through the desert. The diner is surrounded by the visual language of Route 66 and mid-century America: oversized signs, gas stations, motels, empty roads and all those strange roadside structures that were made to catch your eye. We also wanted the environment to carry the same retro-futuristic optimism as the diner itself. Curved shapes, bright colors and bold silhouettes make the world feel like someone's idea of the future from the 1950s. But outside, things are a little less polished (intentionally). Dust, rust, faded paint and worn-out props slowly take over the landscape. The contrast between colorful r…

Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 ROAD DINER DEMO is coming on 12.10.2026! 🍔 We’ve been cooking, polishing, fixing things behind the counter and now we can finally share the date. This time around you can bring friends, because we're adding a co-op multiplayer to the mix. The road is calling. The diner is waiting... See you on opening day! Inspect, Detect, and stop Smugglers - our Prologue of Airport Contraband coming soon! Try out the new Roadhouse Simulator Demo available now!
- Welcome to the FUTURE - 1950s style 🚀 - 3 September 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 When designing the interior of Road Diner, we wanted to capture a very particular idea of the future… the future as imagined in the 1950/60s. Back then, everything was sleek, optimistic and a little strange. Rounded shapes, chunky proportions, shiny metal and bold colors made everyday objects feel like they belonged to tomorrow. We took those ideas and brought them to the middle of the desert. There’s plenty of metal and chrome, but also plenty of rust, worn surfaces and things that have clearly been repaired more than once. The colors are inspired by the desert around the diner, while the retro-futuristic shapes keep that feeling of optimism and hope for a better future. And yes... with all the old machinery, rusty details and questionable levels of maintenance, some of us started noticing that it looks suspiciously familiar. And this is where Fallout also be…
- Meet Becky - The woman behind the Road Diner 🍳 - 26 August 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 HERE SHE IS... A kitchen veteran with decades of experience. Becky has been working in gastronomy since she was twelve. She's seen the long shifts, difficult customers, burnt dishes, and everything else that comes with the job. After years of putting the kitchen first, her career cost her a marriage and left little room for a personal life. Now she's tired of simply cooking for everyone else. Becky wants to be the one in charge making the decisions, taking the risks, and finally having the freedom to live a little. But leaving the kitchen behind isn't quite as easy as she hoped. Sharp, sarcastic, and more than a little intimidating, Becky doesn't make a habit of showing her softer side. Becky starts out as an employer and mentor. But as the story unfolds, her relationship with the crew becomes something more. She's been through enough to know that nothing come…
- Build Your Diner Team - 19 August 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 Running a busy diner is a team effort. When the orders start piling up and customers need attention, having the right people by your side can make all the difference. You can hire employees through the mailbox located outside your diner. At the end of each shift, new candidates can become available, each with their own resume, personality, role, and perks. Choose between three different roles: 👨🍳 Cooks - prepare food at the kitchen stations and keep orders moving. 🧑🍳 Waiters - seat customers, take their orders, deliver dishes, and clean tables. 🧽 Kitchen Help - takes care of dishwashing, restocking, and those pesky cockroaches. As your diner grows, so does the number of employees you can hire. But space is limited, so building the right team and assigning them the right tasks will be just as important as keeping your customers happy. Hire wisely, assign…
- Watch Your Step! - 12 August 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 In Road Diner Simulator, carrying a tray full of food through a busy diner is never completely safe. You can bump into customers, Binx the cat, or even other players while making your way from the kitchen to the table. When a collision happens, there's a chance you'll drop some of the dishes you're carrying. Don't panic - you have 5 seconds to pick them back up and save the meal. But if you leave them on the floor for too long, the diner’s resident cockroaches will happily take care of the rest. 🪳 And that's not the end of it. Any dish eaten by the cockroaches means the original order needs to be prepared again! So keep your eyes open, watch where you're going, and whatever you do... don't let the cockroaches get to dinner first! See you at the diner! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------…

Every now and then, he'll even hunt down a pesky cockroach, proving he's earned his place on the team. But be careful! While carrying a tray full of food, the last thing you want is to accidentally bump into a curious cat. One wrong step can send your carefully prepared meal flying. Want a quieter shift? Keep Binx's food bowl stocked, and he'll happily relax in his favorite bed instead of roaming the diner. Of course... if you enjoy living dangerously, you can always let him patrol the restaurant. Remember! The Prologue launches tomorrow! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------…

- Straight to the Table - 21 July 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 The kitchen has done its job - now it's your turn to make the perfect delivery. Every dish should reach the table fresh, hot, and prepared exactly as ordered. Even the best recipe won't impress your guests if it's served cold or made incorrectly, so timing is everything. But carrying a tray through a busy diner isn't always easy. One careless step and you might bump into another customer... or even the resident cat! If you drop a meal, you'll only have 5 seconds to pick it back up before an army of hungry cockroaches claims it for themselves! A skilled waiter knows that serving food is more than just walking from the kitchen to the table. Stay alert, move carefully, and make sure every plate reaches your guests before disaster strikes. Keep in mind our upcoming Prologue will be released on July 27! --------------------------------------------------------------…
- Ready to Order? - 20 July 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 Seating your guests is only the beginning - now it's time to take their order. Once customers sit down, they'll start browsing the menu. Watch their animations closely, as they clearly show what stage they're in without needing to check the UI. When they're ready to order, they stop reading the menu, and you'll see on the notepad that they want to order the dish. After you've taken the order, the kitchen gets to work - but your job isn't over yet. While the chefs prepare the food, keep an eye on your guests' patience. Use coffee when you're falling behind. A fresh cup will keep waiting customers happy and give you extra time to catch up.! Once the meals are ready, deliver them promptly to the correct table. Be careful not to serve the wrong dish to the wrong customers. A great waiter doesn't just take orders - they know exactly when to act and always make sure…
- Show Them to Their Table - 17 July 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 A great dining experience starts long before the food reaches the table. As the Waiter, it's your job to greet every customer and show them to their seat. Guests can arrive alone or in groups of up to four people, so choosing the right table is just as important as serving them quickly. Need a seat for one? The bar is a perfect fit. Larger groups will need a proper table - but only if it's clean! Dirty tables can't be used, so keeping the dining area spotless is essential if you want to serve more customers and keep the line moving. A little planning goes a long way. Seat your guests wisely, keep the tables clean, and your diner will stay busy all day long. - Hot Meals, Happy Customers! - 9 July 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 Keep your meals hot, fresh, and ready to serve. A great meal deserves to be served at the perfect temperature - but in a busy diner, that's not always easy. In Road Diner Simulator, every prepared dish gradually loses its freshness over time. The longer it sits waiting for a customer, the colder it becomes, affecting its overall quality. Luckily, your most reliable kitchen assistant is always standing by! Meet Chef Mike - your trusty microwave!. Simply place a cooled dish inside, wait a few seconds, and it's ready to be served hot once again. Timing is everything, though. Managing your orders efficiently and keeping an eye on food freshness will become an important part of running a successful roadside diner. Stay organized, keep your kitchen in top shape, and make sure every plate leaves the counter at its best. Because in the diner business, nobody likes a c…
- Road Diner Comes with Cooperative Multiplayer! - 3 July 2026
Welcome back, Chefs! 👨🍳 Yes, you did read it correctly, Road Diner Simulator will have a multiplayer mode. The entire game is build around a cooperative multiplayer experience that you will be able to take for spin in the upcoming Demo. That being said, you will naturally be able to play on your own like any other of our games, but now you will also have the option to invite 1, 2 or even 3 of your friends to join you. You will be able to enjoy the single player campaign as you are used to from our other games, but you can also jump into multiplayer right away. Although we'd advise to take the game for spin in its single player mode first to learn the ropes. That is not to say that multiplayer doesn't have any guidance, far from it. It's just in single player mode the learning experience is differently paced and integrated into the story while the multiplayer mode puts all players rig…
