- Major Update: 11/7/2021 - 7 November 2021
Hey folks, Sorry for the delay in posting, it's been a very busy week! I know I said there would be 25 new achievements with this update, but, the focus shifted when making sure the User Experience was hit correctly. Change List: Main Menu was overhauled, in looks and functionality. Players can now instead of using the PC Widget, VR 3D Widgets to Host, or when selecting Single Player, players can now walk through Portals within the Main Menu Level! There is a Host Portal, which hosting officially fully works for both PC and for VR now! There is a Single Player Portal, which you can test your might! Just walk through it! On top of that, I've added in new AI behavior to the Demons, and there are now patrolling guards within all of the Dungeon/Raid Levels! With that said, over the next week, I'll finally add in those 25 new Achievements now that I am certain the title is ready for them! As…

- WvD v3.3 Hotfixes: 10/31/2021 - 31 October 2021
Hey folks! It's Halloween Day and fixes are going in! Active, active, active! I'd like to address the menu review we had from one of the Oculus Curators regarding the menu, currently, the menu will stay that way over the duration of the Early Access which I plan to last for roughly one month, refine a few things and then finalize the official launch. Reasoning: This title's aim is not just the Oculus device, but rather the ability to both use VR and PC to co-exist in a Dungeon/ Raid Environment. I will be making massive changes on specialization routes for both PC and HMD's, but that will come with extended development time over the next month. Update Changes in the past 24 hours: Fixed the Exe issue highlighted by the Curator In turn, this should have fixed the dependencies as well Fixed the issue where the Host Button was broken from the changes made to the Main Menu (Main Menu update…
- Hotfix 10/30/2021: Rendering Issue Fixed - 30 October 2021
Hey folks, day before Halloween and fixing some issues! Seems something broke in the process with the host button when adding in the two Early Access Dungeons Levels to the menu yesterday. Aiming to fix this by Sunday morning 👻 Thank you for the support so far! The very soon we are kicking off the metaphorical lift off after fine tuning changes and polishing up the rest of the minor bugs! Happy Halloween folks!
- Added in quick access to deeper dungeon content while Early Access is going on! - 30 October 2021
Hey folks! So I've decided to go ahead and on the main menu screen of Witches Vs. Demons add in two more options for Dungeon Level 7 and Dungeon Level 8! These two levels will be accessible as a single player directly from the main menu during Early Access to give a feel for what the content would be like if you actually attempted a clear with your friends or other players in multiplayer. These two menu options again will only be available to access directly during Early Access as a sneak peek into the endgame. Also, the Launch Tutorial is on the games steam page, it's roughly 20 seconds long! Happy gaming, and Happy Halloween!
- Happy Halloween - Witches Vs. Demons Early Access Launch! - 29 October 2021
Hey folks! Update here, we made it! It's been a journey as a solo developer, but it is not over! There will be a lot of quality improvements over the month of November, as well as looking out for any technical issues that may be present. There will be a video update regarding the proper launch requirements for Witches Vs. Demons on the Oculus Quest 1/2. I will detail it below in written format ahead of the video though: A. Launch Oculus Link B. Launch Steam on Desktop C. Launch Steam VR from Oculus Link through your Desktop D. Allow SteamVR to load and open within Oculus Link, then click on Witches Vs. Demons play button within the SteamVR application Once you are inside the title you can either press the Oculus Left Menu Button to open the Main Menu, you can navigate the menu options in a few ways, but the primary interaction will be done from using the Keyboard Keys while within VR, t…
- Witches Vs Demons News Update: 10/10/2021 - 10 October 2021
Hey folks, It's been about a week since the last update, in that time over 9 different builds have been packaged for final round testing, there are a few technical bugs being worked out regarding the Steam Sub System, I will go into further detail below. Technical Bugs Seen: Right now it seems that the PC Client is able to connect to the Steam Sub-System when launching the title, however, the VR HMD setup is not able to interact with the Host / Join options, nor is it registering the Sub System. Currently, the Client for VR is able to connect to the Sub System, so the debugging method worked, and the issue was found. It was actually related to a Widget that was Overlaying off-screen on the VR HMD, which was overriding the 3D Widget Interaction in the world which the VR Sub System should have been pointing towards. With that said, I believe the issue is fixed and currently uploading a Sh…
- Early Access Build Preview Trailer - 27 September 2021
Hey folks, Over the weekend I pushed a Dev Build to capture video of some of the current levels, and progress of the development. I will be going back in and capturing 4k footage later on for a higher-quality preview trailer. Over this next week, there will be a lot of updates while misc. refinement will take place. Please feel free to reach out if you have a feature request to be added, also please keep in mind the trailer is from a single-player standpoint, this title is overly meant to be played as a group rage dungeon crawler to truly defeat this release. I will be posting a Challenge soon for the community to come regarding beating the entire title in early access with other players, Method of Proof - Stream the playthrough runs to your maximum level achieved. In the future playable build I will be attaching Steam Achievements for Title's and Status Saves for Raid Parties based on…
