Hello poker enthusiasts! Today's update adds another language to the game - Simplified Chinese! Big thanks to our amazing translation team who worked hard on this quite difficult task. This update makes Simplified Chinese the fourth language available in game, next to English, Russian and Spanish! Japanese and German translations are already in the works as well. Version 1.4.3 is out! In this update, you can now create lobbies for up to 8 players, depending on the mode you choose. If the lobby is full, the game will start when everyone presses Ready. If there are empty spaces in the lobby, the host can also start the game with the current players as soon as they are ready by pressing Play. Version 1.4.0 is out! ¡Hola! This update adds a Spanish localization to the game, courtesy of Tobi Fangs, who single-handedly translated over 60,000 words of script! This was not an easy task, but thanks to his dedication and perseverance Spanish speakers can now fully experience the world of Dance of Cards. You can switch to it at any point in the Settings menu. The following changes have also been made. When one of your hole cards becomes known to your opponents (e.g. as a result of a stressed check or revealed by a Talent), it will have a red outline to help you see which cards are known to your opponents and make better decisions. Version 1.3.3 is out! In this update, Custom Poker is now available for Online Play. In this mode, you can customise your characters before starting a poker game and set some additional rules: - Blinds Size (allows you to set the initial size of the blinds) - Blinds Increase (a toggle that increases the blinds by 25 and 50 after each intermission) - Last One Standing (if all but one player folds, that player receives extra chips) - Short Deck (no 2-5 cards in the deck, Flush is higher than Full House) Blinds Increase is now available as a Challenge for Story Mode. As before, you can start the Challenge Mode by either starting a new game after completing Story Mode at least once, or you can activate it in your current playthrough by pressing F10 on the pause screen, then saving and reloading. - Multiplayer Beta - Version 1.3.0 Update - 22 May 2023
Version 1.3.0 is out! In this version, the long-awaited multiplayer mode has finally arrived as a beta! To try it, go to the Extras menu and select Online Play. You can play Max Poker (every character is maxed out - it's essentially Quickplay, just under a different name), Honest Poker or Rock, Paper, Bullets. Other modes and games will be added in the future. Currently, lobbies are limited to two players, one of whom acts as host. Once both players have successfully entered the lobby, they must press Ready and the game of their choice will begin. Future plans: - Support for 8-player lobbies - Spectator mode - Suit perks support - Custom Game functionality - Addition of other Death Gambles To make it easier to find other players, I've also set up a discord server. Ver 1.2.0 update is out! This one is beefy. Let’s go through it. To make sure you don't miss a good hand, a special indicator will now remind you when you get at least a pair. Set to On by default, it can be turned off in the Extra Settings. Honest Poker is now available. In this mode, characters have minimum luck, talents (both passive and active) are disabled, and no one gets stressed. An honest experience for sure! Custom Game is now available. In this mode, you can freely adjust the setup of your characters and opponents. You can set their level, talents and equipment. If you like a particular setup, you can save it and return to it later. Last but not least is the addition of Challenge Mode. A small update that (hopefully) fixes the crashes. If they are still happening, try two things: 1) If you are using the Steam overlay, try disabling it. 2) Try using the GLES3 branch. Right click on Dance of Cards in your library, select Properties, highlight the Betas tab and pick the GLES3 build.
