- Version 2.0.7.176 - Photosensitivity Warning - 23 September 2023
What a year. I've had to step away from Smiling Cat development for a while, but adding a photosensitivity warning to this game has been on my to-do list. I had some time this weekend to finish testing the update and release it. Also on my to do list are some more adjustments to Timed mode (specifically fewer and more meaningful levels of it). However, that's going to take a bit more than the weekend to work out properly. Improvements Add photosensitivity warning.
- Version 2.0.7.175 - Timed Relaxation - 28 November 2022
Another quick update for more minor balancing/bugfixing. The biggest change relates to Timed Mode requirements. Improvements Add statistic to show current Dark Matter drop rate. Balancing Adjust requirements to unlock and advance Timed Mode. Remove 4:1 component exchange offers and increase chance of 1:1 component exchange offers. Adjust requirements for "A Closer Shave" and "The Closest Shave" achievements. Adjust requirements for "Don't Tell Me the Odds" achievement. Fixes Fixed issues with Challenge Mode generation when 8 modifiers were present. Fixed an issue where the description for Galactic Deflation would reference a non-existent Level 13 tier of upgrades once all Level 12 upgrades were purchased. Fix Perfect Legacy achie…

Fixes Prevent accidental change of mission parameters after Mission panel's "Prepare For Warp" button is pressed while screen is fading. Fix an issue where achievement name on achievement toast popup is not visible at certain resolutions.
- Version 2.0.7.172 - Achievement Adjustments - 4 August 2022

Removed "Shady Earnings (100K)" Achievement and replaced it with "Multiplying Fortunes (4.5)" Achievement. Adjust thresholds for "Deeper Runs" Achievement series. Adjust base amount and curve for Debit Card rewards. Debit cards are now worth somewhat more up until about level 15, are worth somewhat less up to level 25, and worth significantly less after level 25. Fixes Fix issue where timer for consecutive Superlaser time continued to increase after warping.
- Version 2.0.7.170 - Inheriting a Problem - 2 August 2022
Fixes Fix issue where upgrade effect for Inheritance Legacy would not display correctly for some levels 12 and above. Change calculation of Inheritance Argen portion of the upgrade effect for Inheritance Legacy to disregard current levels of Cosmic Payraise and Pilot Traits, as those would not be available at the time that Inheritance is applied.
- Version 2.0.7.169 - Off By An Order Of Magnitude - 30 July 2022

Fixes Fix unintended color blending on Duohawkh ship model. Fix issue in trigger conditions for "Hero's True Colors" Achievement. Improvements Made the effect of buying a level of Galactic Deflation more clear. Instead of reporting the improvement in a nebulous "basis points (bps)" stat, The upgrade will now display how it affects the cost of what the game estimates is the highest ship upgrade level you have seen. For example, it might say "Level 10 Upgrade Cost: 2.10T -> 1.70T" if at some point during your legacy you have purchased any Level 9 Ship Upgrades.
- Version 2.0.7.165 - Dadgum Clairvoyant Retirees - 23 July 2022
Fixes Fix an issue where the state of whether a Component had been seen on a level was persisting through Retirement. This state will now reset on Retirement as intended.
- Version 2.0.7.164 - Component Check - 22 July 2022
Improvements The Mission Panel will now show an indicator if a Component is available in a level. This indicator will show an unknown Component icon if the Component has not yet been dropped/seen. The indicator will show the specific component available in the level if it has been dropped/seen but not collected. Thanks @cybernetsurfer7 for the suggestion!
- Prepare For Warp Moving Beyond Early Access - 9 July 2022
On August 4, Prepare For Warp will be leaving Early Access and transitioning to Full Release. The game has come so far since I first started the reboot of it over a year ago. The core gameplay loop remains, but everything around that core loop has been embellished again and again until the game has become something I can truly be proud of. I get excited every time I play it, even though I have hundreds of hours of play time logged in it. After I finish writing this, I'm going to go play it some more. I hope that with the transition to Full Release, more people will discover and enjoy this gem. True, it doesn't fit into neat little categories. It's part arcade game, part bullet hell, part runner, part upgrader... truly a mutt of a game. But why should it fit into neat little categories? More games should dare to be unique like this one. All that ultimately matters in this art is that a g…

Fixes Fix various issues with tips, including tip wording on long tips being cut off, duplicate/inconsistent tips. Make warp trail effects appear more consistent between Player Ship, Ally, Paper Doll Ship in Hangar, and Menu background ships. All have been adjusted to match the Ally ship, which was adjusted previously so that the Ally's warp effect impeded the view of the field less. Improvements Re-add "any action" hint to WARP NOW prompt, though at a smaller size and below.
- Version 2.0.7.162 - Who Stole the Tutorial Colors? - 28 June 2022

Cost icon animations will now animate to an offscreen location rather than the store item. Warning sounds for mega and giga bombers are now even lower pitched compared to their regular counterpart, so that the sounds can be more easily distinguished. Fixes Fix color discontinuities in several engine glow gradients. Fix galactic deflation effect text getting cut off.

- Version 2.0.7: Prepare For Release - 16 June 2022
Prepare For Warp release 2.0.7 is now promoted to stable release. This release marks the last major feature release before Prepare For Warp leaves Early Access. One piece of advice I've heard over and over about developing games is that you should make a game that you yourself want to play. I have definitely achieved that with this game. I have literally hundreds of hours of playtest time logged for this game, and it still excites me! With this update, two new game modes have been added. Timed mode can be unlocked in level 7 onwards, and imposes an explosive time limit on your mission, in exchange for increased rewards if you succeed. If you do succeed, you will be offered a higher-rank Timed mission with an even stricter time limit and even greater reward. Infinite mode lets you see how long and far you can survive in the face of mounting odds, and can be unlocked from level 9 onwards.…
