  • Game Update | Patch | Version 1.0.02 - 17 December 2025

OverviewAnother minor patch but with some important bug fixes and quality of life improvements!Feedback about the way the ship rotates has been gladly received. Users now have the option to enable "constant rotation" in Settings > Controls. When this option is enabled, holding the left / right input will make the ship rotate in that direction indefinitely. The rotation is always relative to the ships "local space" (i.e. "left" is always left regardless of the ship's current rotation). Disabling this option reverts to the default behaviour of the ship facing towards the most recent input direction relative to the world space.Thank you to everyone that has bought the game and taken the time to report bugs and feedback! I appreciate you all.Bug Fixes:Fixed a bug with the Phase Shift meter on the player HUD not being in sync with increased Phase Shift Frequency stats after upgrading your sh…

\ 27th November 2025 - Today marks the official release of Aluna Rift, a high-stakes sci-fi action shooter that blends simple mechanics with satisfying gameplay. Developed solely by creator Ben Lowther-Saul, Aluna Rift puts you at the helm of a small but nimble spacecraft.“If your initial impression of the game is ‘This just looks like Asteroids (1979)’ - that would make sense!” - says Ben. “I was actually asked to ‘recreate Asteroids in Unity’ as part of a job application a few years ago. What I submitted for that had a lovely game-feel to it and I enjoyed making it so much that I decided to evolve it into its own unique take on the original masterpiece. I was desperate to complete and launch a game entirely on my own, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do just that.” Initially equipped with the most basic of weapons and a built-in “bullet-time” evasion technique known as…
