• v0.3.6 Update: Seamless Integration with Logitech G29 Steering Wheel System - 23 August 2022

  Hi, Boaters! Just a small update today, the Logitech G29 Steering Wheel and Accelerator system has been made seamless to the system. Therefore, you'll no longer experience pop-ups. Instead, you can straight away use your steering wheel and accelerator other than the default control (keyboard). Enjoy!

• v0.3.5 Update: Support for Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle - 21 August 2022

  Hello everyone! In this update, the Boat Simulator received Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle controller support. At the moment, the ideal setup will be the Logitech G29 Steering Wheel for the steering, and the Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle for the hand throttle. Code cleanup is scheduled in the upcoming update so that the boater shall not be prompted to use steering once the steering is connected. Instead, the user shall be able to use Keyboard, Steering, Feet Throttle or Hand Throttle seamlessly. Until the next update, cheers all!

• v0.3.4 Update: ASD Tugboat z-axis control panel update! - 29 July 2022

  Hello everyone! In this update, the ASD Tugboat control panel now complies with how an ASD Tugboat responds in a real-world situation. Previously, the thruster panel correspond to the directional vector of the boat, similar to a speedboat driving, where the steering corresponds to your intended direction. In this update, the rudder panel has been updated to comply with the ASD rudder direction which is more familiar to the ASD Tugboat operator.   Hello, boaters! Just a little routine update, your Boat Simulator Apprentice is now equipped with a mute button for the campaign mode! Looking forward, there are two major features that we are working on, Level Constructor and Mission Library. Stay tuned!

• v0.3.2 Update: Logitech G29 Steering Wheel Support for Arcade Mode! - 21 May 2022

  v0.3.2 Update is here. In this update, the support for Logitech G29 Steering Wheel is featured: Before you start the game, connect your Logitech G29 Steering Wheel set. In the Main Menu, a steering detection code will be deployed. You'll be notified if the steering is detected. In this mode, you'll need only the steering wheel and the paddles (throttle & brake). Use the throttle paddle to shift up the gear from neutral. This will propel your boat forward. Use the brake paddle to shift down the gear from neutral. This in effect will give you the capability to stop or reverse your boat. Upcoming updates: Lesson Mode will receive controller support. Stay tuned. More polished controller integrations. New missions. Quality of life improvements such as Settings (Music enable/disable, Sound effects, Graphics)

  v0.3.1 Update: Bugfix Fixed Lesson 9: There is a bug wherein at this level you'll become a submarine. With this bug, the simulator will allow you to drive the boat underwater because of missing water/buoyancy physics.

  v0.3.0 Update is here. In this update several new features and improvements are shipped: Experimental tutorial interface for the Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) Tug Boat missions. This interface shall be adopted throughout the simulator in the upcoming updates. Arcade Mode quick race can now be controlled using XBox and PS4 controllers. Azimuth Stern Drive Tug Boats can now be controlled using XBox and PS4 Controllers Upcoming updates: Lesson Mode will receive controller support. Stay tuned. • Update v0.2.0: Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) Tugboat Open World - 20 March 2022

  Update v0.2.0 is here! This is a major update where a new mode is introduced. In this update, a new vehicle named Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) Tug Boat is available within its own open world for you to hone your skills in driving a very tricky yet efficient mode of transportation on the water. Upcoming minor updates under v0.2.0 shall be focusing on the inclusion of more structured ASD Tug Boat missions/challenges, similar to a tug boat operator training, such as; Slalom in unison, Slalom with one thruster, Hovering, Speed control, and so on. Consider this software as a helper for you to practice your mental model in practicing the Tug Boat maneuver.
