- Sclender 1.8.5 - 24 July 2025
- Sclender works better with various display settings and the Launcher window is larger - Compatibility hacks for when you don't want to dig into an app's settings to get it to work with Sclender (beware the software rendering/reference rasterizer setting...) - Tooltips (hints that appear when mouse moves over a widget) are a little easier to follow
- Sclender 1.8.4 - 13 September 2024
Debug messages for GPU shaders are disabled by default (enable by clicking "Shader debugging enabled" on Config menu).
- Sclender 1.8.3 - 6 December 2023

- Sclender 1.8 Released - 16 November 2023
If multiple GPUs are installed/active they can be selected from the Config Tab. By such means you can dedicate one GPU to Sclender and another to your game. You can now select how many processors/cores you use at a time for filtering. Look under the Config Tab. New filters released: ordered dither scaling, TV color filters and adjustments, vignette filter, posterization/bit depth reduction.
- Sclender 1.7.4 (Gamer's Gold) - 5 November 2023
Sclender is now more streamer-friendly. Protocol is still to set Inactive Behavior to "Show", but the renderer no longer overlaps all other windows when in this mode, so you won't have to juggle it around your streaming software. If you still want the overlap behavior, set "Always top". "No filter" behaves like "Show", but like Hide, pauses filtering and releases most resources when not active..

- Sclender 1.7 Released - 21 October 2023
It's a been a while since the last Sclender release. In that time a lot of work has been done. New filters: many new CRT filters; color adjustment filters and effects to mix together a faithful replica of the SD television/monitor experience. Bilinear and Bicubic filtering is now possible. Revisions to existing filters: CRT Scanlines now much more closely approximates the look of a television screen; other filters look closer to what their names suggest. CRT filters are easier on the eyes and clearer. The PC-98 monitor filter can now be fully edited to look like high detail CRT screens. The de-pixelizing "Dejag" filters now have adjustable characteristics. Improvements: Filters now support up to 4 input fields, each with a descriptive name. The Attach interface now displays a prompt telling you what to do after pressing the "Attach" button. Bug fixes: -- the hanging thread bug is fixed…
- Sclender 1.6.6 Released - 22 April 2023
Some filters have been tweaked, and most CPU filters are faster. Tool tips have been added to the buttons to provide some extra instruction on how to use Sclender with other apps.
- Sclender 1.6.5 released - 5 April 2023
New Features User can now manually override Sclender's title bar detection. This is important because bugs happen when Sclender thinks there is a title bar but there isn't one. To see these bugs for yourself, try Sclender with your browser's pop-out-video on Youtube or Twitch and compare with the override on vs off. (be sure to turn off the browser's hardware acceleration first! See wiki, under Support, for details.) The override switch is located on the Render Config panel, under "Capture". Sclender will now use half of the cores on your system for CPU-based rendering (or 1 if there is only 1 core) If Sclender fails to attach successfully to an app, the user will be notified (try it with the new Windows Calculator)

- AVX-2 Optimized! - 21 March 2023
AVX-2 support is now implemented (for those systems which support it) for filters which have scan lines and for the "gamma" filters (Brighten, Darken). There may be further AVX-2 optimizations implemented in future. Shine, a first-line filter for increasing the brightness of bright colors (similar to CRT characteristics) had a bug which made it awkward to use. It is now fixed. The tutorial vid which runs on the Steam page has been uploaded to Youtube and is accessible from the Support button.
