- Stress Test the Servers - 30 September 2026
Attention, warclones, Your service is needed once more. This time to put our servers to the test. Many fighters who participated in Operation Avalon reported some issues with rubber-banding, particularly in the Australia East and US West regions. We are now calling on warclones to relive the Operation Avalon experience while testing the fixes that have been made to prevent rubber-banding. That is the only significant change being tested during this server Slam. Other lag, performance issues, and glitches may still occur. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the Server Slam on Steam is limited to warclones who have previously played EVE Vanguard on Steam. New Steam playtest registrations will not be granted access for this Server Slam. New players can still join the Server Slam through the EVE launcher. Deploy, push the servers, and put the fixes through their paces from 1–5 October. EVE Vanguard ente…

- Shaping The Warclone: Inside Eve Vanguard's Concept Art - 19 August 2026
Before a weapon is fired, a suit is assembled or a new enemy appears planetside, someone has to decide what it belongs to.In the latest Vanguard Uplink, the Senior Concept Artist discusses how that process is helping define the visual identity of EVE Vanguard, from the Warclone itself to the weapons and equipment being built around New Eden's factions. One of the larger challenges is the Warclone. It needs to feel grounded in the established universe while supporting where EVE Vanguard is heading as its own experience. That means designing more than a single recognisable silhouette. Armour, pauldrons, skins and character appearance all need to work within a system that gives players room to make their Warclone their own without losing that underlying identity. The same thinking is beginning to shape the arsenal. As the team develops more weapons, their origin increasingly determines the ru…
- When The Battlefield Refuses To Stay Still - 18 August 2026
Operation Avalon gave Warclones plenty of reasons to push into the Fuel Tower. Behind the firefights, however, the structure is also pointing toward something broader for EVE Vanguard. The tower began as a comparatively small prototype, but combat quickly started shaping its architecture. Interior spaces grew, staircases moved outside, and pipes became more than environmental detail, they created cover and new opportunities for drones and players to contest the climb. That process led the team toward a more interesting question "what if the structure itself did not remain the same between deployments?"Because the tower was built from modular floors, those pieces can potentially be rearranged at runtime. Different deployments could present different routes, enemies, traversal challenges or even rare loot spaces, forcing Warclones to read the environment rather than simply learn the optimal…

- Alpha Is Where EVE Vanguard Takes Shape - 3 July 2026
With Operation Avalon approaching, one question has appeared repeatedly across the community: what does Alpha mean for EVE Vanguard? For the development team, Alpha is not about placeholder systems or unfinished visuals. It marks the point where the core experience looks and feels like the game they intend to build, while leaving room for the community to influence how it grows. Players will step into a focused slice of EVE Vanguard, complete with progression, objectives and meaningful decisions, but the journey is only beginning. That makes every deployment part of a much larger process.Operation Avalon is designed to test not only technical performance, but how the game feels to play. Are firefights tense? Does progression reward the right decisions? Is the balance between PvE and PvP creating memorable encounters? These are questions that cannot be answered through internal testing alo…
- Escape from the Fulcrum Part II: Assembly - 29 June 2026
Those first deployments changed us. We began to understand what freedom would cost.Warclones fell. Disappeared beyond sight forever. We lost so many. But the ones we now call The Lords of Avalon rose up. We moved without orders. Chose our own targets. Conspired with allies forced into hiding. We would need all of them. We sought the Warclone called Meliandryn. He had survived in the shadows Waiting. Plotting. Now, we would supply him with the means to complete his life’s work. The Resonant Garden. We took what we needed and concealed what we could. I liberated the Warbarge we now call Avalon. Our connection to the Garden We hid it far beyond the reach of the Deathless. And Meliandryn built his masterpiece. The Garden was forbidden technology. A violation of laws older than the empires themselves. A place where the mind could persist beyond the body. Not transferred. Not copied. Sustained.…
- Every Deployment Tells a Different Story in Operation Avalon - 26 June 2026
Operation Avalon offers more than a new deployment zone. It asks a simple question every time you touch down: how far are you willing to push before it's time to leave? In the latest Vanguard Uplink, the team discusses how each deployment develops beyond its opening moments. Early choices, whether to gather resources, pursue contracts, hunt other Warclones or work alongside them, can shape the rest of a session in unexpected ways. No single approach is presented as the correct one, and the risks evolve alongside the rewards. That uncertainty becomes increasingly apparent as extraction opportunities disappear across the battlefield. Rather than providing a guaranteed route home, extraction points become a resource in their own right, forcing players to decide whether to leave with what they've earned or stay longer in search of something better. By the end of a deployment, surviving may de…
- Questions From the Frontlines: Factions and Loyalty in New Eden - 19 June 2026
With Operation Avalon approaching, the latest Vanguard Uplink discussion explored several topics that hint at where EVE Vanguard may be heading beyond the upcoming deployment. One of the most significant conversations centered on factional warfare. While not part of Operation Avalon itself, plans discussed for future testing would allow Warclones to conscript with one of New Eden’s empires, taking on objectives and earning rewards tied to their chosen faction. The concept extends beyond cosmetics and equipment. Success or failure in a campaign could influence future war states, affect conditions on the battlefield, and potentially shape what content arrives next. The discussion also highlighted an important tension at the heart of EVE Vanguard. Even when aligned with the same empire, Warclones remain mercenaries first. Alliances may emerge around shared goals, but personal profit and oppo…
- Inside the Arsenal: Designing Weapons for EVE Vanguard - 12 June 2026
Every weapon in EVE Vanguard starts with a simple question: who built it?In the latest episode of the EVE Vanguard Uplink Podcast, members of the development team discuss the philosophy behind the game's growing arsenal and how weapon design is shaped by the identities, technologies, and aesthetics of New Eden's empires. The conversation explores why EVE Vanguard began with familiar weapon archetypes despite its far future setting, and how those foundations allow the team to gradually introduce more specialized and distinctly sci-fi designs over time.Players will also get a closer look at the thinking behind faction specific weapons. Rather than creating a single style and applying different logos, each empire influences how a weapon looks, feels, and functions. From practical engineering to advanced energy based designs, the goal is for every weapon to feel like it belongs in the wider…
- Extraction shooter spinoff EVE Vanguard will let you salvage ships destroyed in EVE Online, then flog the parts back to their owners - 18 May 2026
EVE Vanguard , the latest attempt by Fenris ' I Can’t Believe It’s Not CCP Games ' Creations at crafting a first-person shooter counterpart to EVE Online , continues to gestate within Iceland’s best-funded spinoff vats. Nearly three years after being revealed as a Shoot, Loot 'n' Scoot extraction game, it’s running its first alpha playtest – titled Operation Avalon – from July 7th-20th, with Fenris staff promising attendees of last week’s EVE FanFest event that it will dutifully tighten up the gunplay that players of previous 'pre-alpha' tests criticised as loose and floaty. More intriguing, however, is what the company calls an "economic bridge" between EVEs Vanguard and Online: the ability to conduct on-foot Vanguard raids into ship graveyards, containing parts salvaged from real player-owned ships that were destroyed in the MMO’s space dogfights, before putting those parts up for sal…
- Escape from the Fulcrum Part I: Awakening - 15 May 2026
For the weak, immortality offers little advantage. Darkness was closing around the warclones. Our destiny was in ruins. We would live long enough to see ourselves forgotten.I could claim I believed we would be given another chance. That would be untrue. We were lost. But in New Eden, survival does not go unnoticed. And we had survived. The Deathless found our data banks. They reached inside and recovered minds they believed would help them spread their chaos. They did not understand what they had awakened. Thanatos assassins. Khanid warriors. Warlords. They released those we now call the Lords of Avalon. These are minds incapable of servitude. Drawn from Amarrian traditions, selected for discipline. For faith. They did not accept the system imposed upon them. They studied it. Tested it. Searched for its edges. We found a way out. A way to deploy without oversight. But there was a cost. Dea…
